Two Nigerian journalists, Oluwatoyosi Ogunseye of Sunday Punch and Tolu Ogunlesi , freelance journalist with Ventures Africa have won two types of this year's CNN/MultiChoice African Journalist of the Year awards. Ogunseye, Editor, Sunday Punch won the Environment prize, while Ogunlesi, bagged the Economy and Business reporting prize. They emerged at the awards ceremony in Cape Town, South Africa on Saturday. Msindisi Fengu and Yandisa Monakali of South Africa's Daily Dispatch Newspaper emerged the general prize winner. Twenty-seven finalists drawn from 11 countries were shortlisted for the 14 types of the award.

Congrats: Naija Journalists Win CNN/Multichoice Awards

CNN anchor and gun-control advocate, Piers Morgan, tweets in Yoruba
Controversial CNN anchor and gun-control advocate, Piers Morgan, tweeted in Yoruba, yesterday Friday 23rd, 2013. His first tweet was in response to a comment from a Nigerian follower who seemed impressed by his speaking style. He tweeted "Ese gan!". He also responded to a follower who asked if he had learnt his Yoruba from "Nigerian mistresses", by tweeting, "Kantan kantan l'eyi." Check out the snapshot of his tweets after the break.

#CNNThings: Isha Sesay of CNN weds Leif Coorlim of CNN - Congrats
CNN anchor/correspondent Isha Sesay married her man Leif Coorlim, who is also a CNN staff, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Atlanta Georgia yesterday Sunday August 18th.
"Our day exceeded my wildest dreams," Sesay tells People. "It was magical. When I saw Leif standing at the end of the aisle, I felt as if my heart would explode. I married the man of my dreams in front of the people we care about the most. And then we partied the night away."Isha, 37 (Sierre Leonean ), and Leif, 34 (American), who is the executive editor of The CNN Freedom Project, met in 2008. Happy married life to them.
