 Anambra State Government yesterday Wednesday, August 27, 2014 held  Honours and Tributes ceremony for late Prof. Dora Akunyili, at the Women Development Centre in Awka, the Anambra State capital. The well-attended event hosted by Willie Obiano, Governor of Anambra State, was graced by eminent personalities such as for instance former Heads of State, Generals Yakubu Gowon and Olusegun Obasanjo.

She is likely to be buried to mother earth today August 28th. See more photos after the jump...

Late Prof Dora Akunyili who died on June 7th in India would have turned 60 yesterday July 14th. To celebrate her, her husband Dr Chike Akunyili shared a warm birthday message through her Facebook page on behalf of himself and their children. See the full message below...

 Apparently there have been rumours flying around that former NAFDAC boss Mrs Dora Akunyili,who's currently undergoing medical treatment in India, had passed on.. nevertheless the rumour was apparently strong enough to obtain a response from the former minister's media assistant. He released a report via her FB page to dispel the rumour and says she's receiving treatment. Notice it above..
