Late Justus Esiri to be buried April 12th in Delta State



The late veteran actor's service of songs/wake keep will take place April 9th at Catholic Church of Ascension, International Airport Road, in Lagos. Mass in Delta state will take place April 12th at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Abraka. Internment will follow at the late Chief Esiri's compound, Oria-Abraka, Delta State.

Official statement from the family of Chief Justus Esiri (OON)

We are heart broken as we announce the passing of Chief Justus Esiri OON popularly known as the “Village Headmaster”, following a complication from Diabetes.
Chief Justus Esiri OON, was a loving husband, father, grand father, brother, uncle and friend. An Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON), The Otun Amuludun of the Source in Ile-Ife Osun State, and Veteran Nollywood Actor.
He died in the late hours of the 19th of February 2013. Chief Esiri, born on the 6th November 1942 hailed from Oria Abraka, Delta State. He was a strong believer in family values, and a great supporter of Nollywood.

Life & Times Of Veteran Actor, Justus Esiri



Born on 20 November 1942 in Oria-Abraka, Delta State, Esiri attended Urhobo College, Effurun, Warri in Delta State. He travelled to Germany to study engineering at the Maximillan University, Munich, Germany, 1964, where he developed an interest in theatre.
Esiri started his acting career in Germany. He was the only Nigerian male that performed on stage between 1968 and 1969. He also worked for Voice of Nigeria VON, German Service, as a translator.

Justus Esiri: Cause of Death Revealed



This is beginning to look like a not too pleasant year for Nigerian Entertainers as we're still mourning the passing away of Goldie, another movie icon, Justus Esiri, has died. According to different sources and his son's confessions, Justus Esiri's family lost him to diabetes caused by old age.
He was said to have passed on about 3 hours ago in a Lagos hospital. A source said the now late Justus Esiri has been secretly battling diabetes for a while but his family chose to make it a secret until his sudden demise Monday night at the age of 71.
