Ogun State Gives ₦2 Million To Ailing Veteran Actor, Pa Kasumu



The Ogun State Government, week-end, donated N2 million to ailing Nollywood actor, Mr. Kayode Odumosu, popularly called Pa Kasumu, for his medical treatment. Assistant to the State Government, Mr. Taiwo Adeoluwa, who made the donation with respect to the federal government, claimed Governor Ibikunle Amosun was moved when he discovered the condition of the actor and decided to give the lifeline.

Veteran musician Bongos Ikwue appointed board chairman of NFC



Kanayo O Kanayo is not the only entertainer to get an appointment from the presidency. Veteran musician and creator of the soundtrack of popular 80's TV drama series - Cock Crow at Dawn, Bongos Ikwue, also did. He has been appointed the new chairman of the board of the Nigerian Film Corporation by President Goodluck Jonathan.

I'll Like To Change My Tribe To Yoruba- Veteran Actor - Larry Koldsweat



He has made so much impact in Nollywood to the extent that some of the stars the industry is proud of today have his touch in their lives.   The Igbo born actor who has turned a pastor has revealed in an interview that he's if he had the opportunity of coming back to this world again, he would still be an actor and a pastor but he would love to be a Yoruba man by birth and inclination.

Hear him, "If I have to come back to this world, I will be an actor again, I will be pastor and I will be a Nigerian again but I'll like to change my tribe, I will like to be a Yoruba man (laughs). Reasons are, Yoruba people are very receptive; they are the only people that can give you a land irrespective of your tribe.

Life & Times Of Veteran Actor, Justus Esiri



Born on 20 November 1942 in Oria-Abraka, Delta State, Esiri attended Urhobo College, Effurun, Warri in Delta State. He travelled to Germany to study engineering at the Maximillan University, Munich, Germany, 1964, where he developed an interest in theatre.
Esiri started his acting career in Germany. He was the only Nigerian male that performed on stage between 1968 and 1969. He also worked for Voice of Nigeria VON, German Service, as a translator.

'I don’t want to act poor, die poor' – veteran actor, Natty






He cut a pathetic picture; helplessness was written all over him. It was hard to imagine that someone who had gained national popularity on the rested New Masquerade series and home videos could be cut down by illness, poverty and neglect.
That is the story of Mr. Romanus Uchenna Amuta aka Natty. It was a tough job getting him to speak, as a stroke had left him with slurred speech and sluggish movements. Sitting before the reporter was a shadow of the crafty and witty character, which he cut as Natty.
“If government does not come to help me now, then I will die very soon,” were the few words he let out with great effort.
