Government officials withdraw support for OJB due to misinformation on funds raised

There have been speculations that some celebrities have been to see OJB and made some donations. While it's true that the likes of Don Jazzy, P-Square, Ruggedman, Mercy Johnson, Iyanya, Julius Aguw have contributed, the other names on the list that circulated today are 100% false. For instance, D'banj didn't give N7m, Wizkid didn't give N3m and 2face didn't give N1.5m.

Former World Bank Vice-President (Africa), Dr. ObyEzekwesili last Thursday at the convocation lecture of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, said the administrations of late President Umar Musa Yar’Adua and President Goodluck Jonathan frittered away the sum of $45bn left in the foreign reserves account and $22bn in the Excess Crude Account by the administration of former President, Olusegun Obasanjo. Prominent Islamic cleric, Sheik Ahmad Mahmoud Gumi has raised an eyebrow over the Nigerian government’s decision to send troops to fight on the side of France against so-called “Islamic terrorists” in Mali which he warns “…can seriously be dangerous for the nation and more so for the government.”
In a post Facebook post yesterday, the cleric argued that there was no justifiable reason to send troops.

He wrote:

“Today Nigerian troops are committed in Mali to fight ‘Islamic terrorists’ without intellectually looking at the repercussion of such an adventure. We all know that the ‘War against terror’ which Islam also fights can easily be turned into war against Islam. There is a thin line between the two. And if caution is not taken, the situation can seriously be dangerous for the nation and more so for the government.
