OGUN STATE, October 25, Friday -- A woman was today apprehended by
the police for reportedly abandoning her newborn infant at a dumpsite at
Ikugbonmilere, Mowe, Ogun state. The alleged mother declared she have
birth to a tortoise rather than a human being. Meanwhile, eyewitnesses
say some people saw traces of blood in the woman's house once they went
directly into investigate. The woman is being questioned at the police
station. The child was taken to the monarch's palace.
