The world’s largest building has opened in China capable of fitting 20 Sydney Opera Houses – or three Pentagons – inside.  The New Century Global Center in Chengdu, Sichuan province, is a staggering 19million sq.ft. and contains shopping centres, a Mediterranean village, a water park, an ice-skating rink, and multiple hotels. However, visitors to the glass paneled building need not worry about the weather as the giant complex will have its own artificial sun.

The building is 500 metres long, 400 metres wide and 100 metres high, reports said. According to Chinese officials, the New Century Global Center is the largest freestanding building in the world, and took three years to complete.   ‘This is an ocean city built by man,’ Chinese guide Liu Xun told AFP.

He added that the artificial sun built inside the building will provide light and heat 24 hours a day for shoppers exploring the around 400,000 sq. metres of boutiques and stores.

The burger a casino cooked up is so large that it can feed hundreds of people. The casino now holds a world record of a cooked bacon cheeseburger which is three meters in diameter and weighs over a ton.  The giant burger was served at Black Bear Casino Resort near Carlton, Minnesota and tipped the scale at 2014 pounds or 914 kilograms.

Philip Robertson, a representative of the Guinness World Records verified the record as the largest burger. He called the feat a result of "remarkable teamwork" and said the burger "tasted really good".  According to the news media, the previous record for a burger was only 400 kilograms.  The Black Bear Casino burger included 27 kilos of bacon, 23 kilos of lettuce, 23 kilos of onions, 18 kilos of pickles and 18 kilos of cheese.It took about four hours to cook the burger. A crane was used to flip the burger.  Locals enjoyed the delicious burger which they were able to eat free of charge.

Jonah Falcon, was stopped and searched by the TSA in San Francisco International Airport, because of a búlky package hidden in his pánts. However, the 41-year-old New Yorker, was not packing a dirty bomb, drugs or a tube of toothpaste from Costco. In an interview with the news media, Falcon described his difficult time, with additional security guards after his luggage became suspicious.
