Mercy Johnson has spoken once again of her love for actress Genevieve Nnaji, who she says is her role model. Speaking with City People magazine, Mercy Johnson said she adores Genevieve and doesn't know what she can do that will be better than what Genevieve has done in the movie industry

"I think I have one of the best role models ever. I like Genevieve like crazy. I started watching her movies from the onset but I didn't want to be Genevieve, I wanted to be Mercy with the motivation that a Genevieve could give me. So I watched lots of movies. I don't play with her movies. I don't know what I can do that will be better than what she has done. But I just try to improve on it, try to do it the way she will do it and perhaps even better to my own level. I practice like all the time. It is like a passion. It is just where I want to be. I am alive and I am in my space. It was paramount to perfect that space. I need everything. I watch everything. Nothing passes me by. I watch newscasters reading there news and after they are done, I sit down the way they do and read the news like that. So it is practice and Passion." she said. Continue...

Well known for her skimpy and sexy dress sense, Mercy Johnson Okogie says getting married has influenced her style positively and that she laughs when looks back at some of the dresses she wore before she got married.

 "Marriage is influencing my dress sense in a more positive way. As I always say my husband is my greatest critic but when it comes to my profession, he understands and has made me grow better than I used to.

Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson Okojie has decided to quit acting (for a while) for her maternity schedules.  Confirming the reports that she's been rejecting movie roles because of her pregnancy status, her media aide, Bigsam media, said “she’s off work resting”.
Mercy is now in her second trimester.  Mercy threw herself back into the acting world after the delivery of her first child, Purity in 2012, shooting over 20 movies in three quarters.

 Nollywood star, Mercy Johnson, had an morning meeting with Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga, on Monday. Details of their meeting were not made known, but something big set to be in place. We don't know if that is their first-time of meeting 1on1 , but Mr. Incredible was impressed by the phenomenal actress. On his Instagram page, he wrote,"Easily one of the best to have ever did it!!!! Mercy Johnson !!! #blushingtinz."

She's currently on the set of a yet-to-be-titled movie where she plays the role of a Fulani cattle rearer. That was the official reason, the real reason had to do with her fees…Mercy Johnson who is currently teh highest paid actress in Nollywood charges between N1.8 Million & N2 Million per movie

International Distillers (makers of Veleta wine and Chelsea Dry Gin) on Friday (February 7), hosted Mercy Johnson and a bunch of Nollywood stars, while they launched a brand new wine in to the Nigerian market. The big event took place at the organization head office in Ikeja, and some of these have been present were Mercy Johnson, Fred Amata, Collins Onwochei, Charles Novia, Emeka Ossai, Chico Ejiro, and Gbenga Adeyinka.
