Pastor, others hijack truck with ₦25m goods

The Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Adeniji Adele, Lagos, has arrested a pastor, Peter Iyasele, and two others for allegedly hijacking a truck with N25m worth of goods in the Ijora area of Lagos.

According to PUNCH Metro, it was learnt that while the two other suspects ─ Anthony Ibiade and Amas Debar ─ were arrested in Ijora, the 56-year-old clergy was arrested in Igando, Lagos.

Our correspondent gathered from the police that the hijacked truck, which contained 25 heavy duty outdoor airconditioners, belonging to a company based in Apapa, Lagos.

I am a member of one of the most populated Pentecostal churches in the world.

During festive periods (or close to festive periods), parishes are usually planted. I was transferred in this programme (not up to 3 years now) and the pastor of this supposed new parish, lobbied my transfer to his parish (ignoring whether it was comfortable to me or NOT). Initially, my GOD warned me about following this man in his vehicle (cos I think that's where the boldness of  the lobby of my transfer came), but when the transfer came, my mind told me to obey, which I did (little did I know that I am going to another school of life. Hmmm). I head a department, and GOD has been increasing my department (little did I know that my pastor is becoming so envious of me abi?).

Even a man of God is being accused of battery? Wow! The estranged wife of the pastor of Mountain of Liberation Miracles Ministires, Dr. Chris Okafor, has accused him of beating her up at their home in Magodo, Lagos, Punch reports.

Bessem Okafor, who has been separated from Dr Okafor for two years and lives apart from him, said she had gone to her former marital home a few weeks ago to visit her four kids who were in the custody of their father when trouble started.

 7 months after suspending his son John Kumuyi for staging what the church termed'an extravagant wedding'and the bride wearing make-up and a fixed wedding dress at their June 2013 Jamaica wedding,  Deeper Life General Overseer, Pastor William Kumuyi has re-instated his son as a pastor in the church.

Pastor Kumuyi and elders of the church forgave John and his wife and he has been reinstated back in the pastoral arm where he is able to also preach on the pulpit.

A Lagos-based businesswoman, Iyabo Olusoji has appealed to a court to end her marriage as she described her husband, a pastor, as a chronic womanizer. She told a Customary Court sitting in the Igando area of the state that her husband, Pastor Taiwo, is an habitual adulterer, adding that he had impregnated her friend.
She accused Pastor Taiwo of using charm to marry her, saying she initially went to his church for prayers when she was having marital problem with her ex-husband and that Pastor Taiwo gave her soap to bath.

Wonders shall never cease to end! As LAGOS (AFP) - Samuel Akinbode Sadela, Nigeria's oldest preacher at 107, he is the founder of Gospel Apostolic Church, he has been on the pulpit for 75 years. Sadela first got married in 1934, and the marriage lasted for 21 years, but none of the couple's seven children lived beyond their infancy.

A second marriage, consummated in 1965, was blessed with four children, but only two survived. His second wife died in 2001. And then he met the new woman of his life, 77 years his junior.

Afterwards, and having paid a ransom of N50 million from the church's savings to the expected kidnappers to secure his discharge, a number of the church people came to find out that the kidnap history was a ruse. We were told that what informed their place was that after they went to receive their pastor at th Lagos airport, he bore no indication that he was actually kidnapped.

A preacher with an evangelical church in Kenya’s Nakuru County was shocked when a prostituté he picked up for s*x told him she was a member of his congregation.
The preacher, 56, picked the woman along Club Road, Nakuru at around midnight last Friday before driving off with her in his car.

The preacher, who was disgraced in 2000 after his contact with someone’s wife was exposed, picked her up seeking a date, a common euphemism among prostitutés for s*xual contacts.
