Ex-US President, George Bush Shaves Head To Support 2-Year-Old Patient -- Pix



Former President George H. W. Bush shaved his head this week to show solidarity with Patrick, the son of a member of his security detail who’s battling cancer.

Former President George H. W. Bush shaved his head Wednesday as a show of solidarity with a 2-year-old-boy who is battling leukemia.  The boy, named Patrick, is the son of one of the members of Bush’s security detail. He had lost most of his hair due to his cancer treatments, a Bush spokesman said.

Breast cancer patient, Debbie Idiagbonya has been  participating in different kinds of empowerment programs for cancer survivors and fighters in Washington DC where she's currently receiving treatment. She was part of the Howard Hospital Cancer survivors reception, the African Women's Cancer Association Awareness Annual event, and ZoriWorks for Women' Health and Raw Beauty.  These programs are to encourage and give hope to people that have just been diagnosed, fighting and also surviving all kinds of cancer. Debbie's radiation starts in July. More photos after the Break..

R.I.P : Cancer patient Funmi Lawal dies



 I'm sure you all remember her. Funmi Lawal is the UNILAG law graduate who was diagnosed with malignant sarcoma, a kind of cancer at the shoulder region, who we raised money for on LIB last year. She's the same lady music producer, Don Jazzy donated N2million to. You can read more about her HEREHERE and HERE

Funmi's left arm had to be amputated in January 2013 to save her life...unfortunately she still didn't make it. She died this morning at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital. The cancer had spread to her lungs and she had completely lost the ability to breathe without a respirator. May her soul rest in peace. Ase !!!

What an inspirational story. Dallas Wiens and Jamie Nash overcame immense struggles and found love and hope in each other. Their wedding on Mar. 30 is a testament to human perseverance and the power of love.


Before Dallas Wiens and Jamie Nash met each other, they were struggling to recover from unbelievably traumatic experiences. But they both proved how strong, supportive, and in love they are now during their beautiful wedding ceremony in Fort Worth, Tex. on Mar. 30.

First lady Patient Jonathan got Sick Again !!!



According to Sahara Reporters, our First Lady is sick again and at the moment shuttling between Spain and Germany for treatment. Don't know how true this is but she's been absent from several important official events in the last few days. Hope she gets better..
