Why Speaking Foreign Language (English) to address Your Local People Who Can't Understand the Language?

"Aren't there people advising this Ogun state governor sen. Ibikunle Amosu? Three days ago the governor hosted the state's chief Imams and Alfas to an Iftar [Islamic breaking of fast] at the government house in Abeokuta. All the imams from Yewa, Egba, Remo and Ijebu took time to pray for him. When it was time for the governor to speak, he started mouthing and rumbling things in English thereby filtering away a beautiful chance to reconnect and fraternice with the people. Unable to fully understand what he was mumbling, the old men just yawned and sigh away until it was time to break the fast. Is it a must for political leaders to speak in English? Let people speak to this man now that there is still time before people starts to blame Tinubu again o. Afterall, Tinubu now speaks Yoruba and can even say some Yoruba proverbs and anecdotes. Nigerian Billionaire, Jimoh Ibrahim Barred From Speaking At Anti-Corruption Conference



The billionaire was accused of corruption by a civil society group.
According to the reports, embattled owner of Air Nigeria, Jimoh Ibrahim, was not allowed to speak at an anti-corruption conference organised by the Central Bank of Nigeria in conjunction with the Nigerian Police and the London Metropolitan Police.
A civil society group, Civil Society Network Against Corruption (CSNAC), had petitioned the British Government not to allow Mr. Ibrahim speak at the conference, in which he had been pencilled down as a speaker.
