Gives new meaning to the term ‘Gaydar!’ A medical test being developed by Kuwait will be used to ‘detect’ homosexuals and prevent them from entering the country, or any Gulf Cooperation Countries (GCC).

UK Daily Mail  GCC member countries – Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates – already deem homosexual acts unlawful.

Cyber-security company High-Tech Bridge set out to test the confidentiality of 50 of the biggest internet companies by using their systems to send a unique web address in private messages. Experts at its Geneva HQ then waited to see which companies clicked on the website. During the ten-day operation, six of the 50 companies tested were found to have opened the link. Among the six were Facebook, Twitter, Google and discussion forum Formspring. High-Tech Bridge chief executive Ilia Kolochenko said: ‘We found they were clicking on links that should be known only to the sender and recipient. 'If the links are being opened, we cannot be sure that the contents of messages are not also being read.

New 'death test' predicts how long you have left to live ( Would You Buy One?)

It might not be information you want to know, but just in case you do, scientists have designed a noninvasive test called the "death test" which can tell people how long they have left to live. A painless laser pulse is applied to the surface of the skin through a wristwatch-style device. It analyses endothelial cells measuring how the body will decline with age, giving a measure of the lifespan.   A user-friendly version of the system is expected to be completed within the next three years. The war against HIV/AIDS is far from being over. This is because, globally, more than 34 million people now live with HIV/AIDS, while 3.3 million of them are under the age of 15.

According to amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, which is dedicated to ending the global AIDS epidemic through innovative research, in 2011 alone, an estimated 2.5 million people were newly infected with HIV; and out of these, 330,000 were under the age of 15.

Sad to say, everyday, nearly 7,000 people contract HIV — nearly 300 every hour.

Statistics seem to have finally proven what many citizens had suspected all along that many Nigerian police officers are incapable of passing a standard intelligence gathering assessment test.

Reports say out of the 5,000 police officers assessed for intelligence gathering, only 266 qualified.

According to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Force Intelligence Bureau Solomon Arase: “Not every police officer can be an intelligence officer. After we carried out assessment test on the officers on ground, we discovered that a lot of them have to go.”

Arase said this in Benin, the Edo state capital yesterday at the inauguration of Zone ‘5’ Intelligence Bureau Ultra modern office complex built by W/ASP Patience Omokaro and her officers through community assistance.

“Intelligence is knowledge-based. If you don’t have the knowledge, you can’t be an intelligent officer,” Arase added.

Although the catholic church is an exception, most churches conduct pregnancy test for intending couples before they agree to join them in holy matrimony.  Does the fact that a bride is not pregnant mean that the couple have not engaged in premarital sex? Again, if the bride is pregnant, is it not a good thing that the couple have agreed to marry? Forbidding pregnancy before wedding may lead to several cases of abortion which is an act of taking lives. It is imperative to note that I am not a catholic neither was my wife pregnant before time, but this is one area where I am with the catholic church. What is your take on this issue?

16 Year-Old-Girl Supersedes Albert Einstein In IQ Test, Scores 161.

16-year-old Lauren Marbe left her teachers stunned by scoring 161 on her IQ test- more than inventor Clive Sinclair, Microsoft Guru Bill Gates and even globally-acknowledged Albert Einstein South West News Service (SWNS) reported.

The teenager is really proud of her score, especially because it nullifies all the stigmas associated with being blonde. She said: 

"My teachers knew I was quite clever because of my grades but they had always thought I was blonde and a bit ditzy," she told SWNS. "Now they keep saying 'I didn't realize you were that clever'."

Virginity test: Principal to undergo psychiatric examination

The Ogun State Government on Tuesday said the principal of Ajuwon Senior High School, Rev. Olufunke Aladeojobi, who allegedly conducted virginity tests on pupils of the school, would be made to undergo a psychiatric examination.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Segun Odubela, said the government made the decision after considering the recommendations of the review panel set up to appraise the work of the committee that investigated the incident.

She spoke with our correspondent, TEMITAYO FAMUTIMI, on Sunday. Excerpts:

Why did you choose to do the vírginity test when some pupils ran away? I did not choose to do the test. After I and other female Senior Secondary School one pupils lined up in front of her (Olufunke Aladeojobi’s) office, I fled the scene but she noticed it and sent people after us threatening to deal with us.
