EFCC shares Photo of suspected fraudster arraigned for ₦11.6m securities scam ( press release)






Here's a press release from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. Read below...
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, May 20, 2014 arraigned Etim James Etim before Justice I.L Ojukwu of a Federal High Court, Uyo, Akwa-Ibom State on a 12-count charge bordering on conspiracy, forgery and stealing.

Specifically, Etim allegedly stole and sold shares valued at N11.655, 000 (Eleven Million, Six Hundred and Fifty- Five Thousand Naira only) belonging to an eighty-five-year old pensioner, Chief Ukim Okon Edem, without his consent. He committed the fraud in connivance with three other accomplices: Okey Godfrey Okebalama, James Oyabolo and Udoh (all at large).
When the charges were read to him, he pleaded not guilty.

Unbelievable: Two Club Girls Were Arraigned In Court (Check out what happened)



The police on Wednesday arraigned two clubs “girls’’ in a Grade 1 Area Court, Aso Pada, Mararaba, for disturbing public peace and constituting themselves into a nuisance.
They are Treasure Edobor, 25, of Aso and Charity Jemo, 23, of Mararaba in Nasarawa State.
The prosecutor, Insp. Friday Idache, told the court that the matter was first reported on Sept. 10, at the ‘A’ Division Police Station, Mararaba by Edobor (second accused).

Woman arraigned for beating two police officers




A 25-year-old woman, Oluwatemitope Adetona, has been arraigned before the Ebute Meta Magistrate’s Court for allegedly beating up a corporal and a police inspector. She was also alleged to have obstructed them in the performance of their duty as enforcement officers. The two officers, Inspector Virginia Ikejiaku and Corporal Helen Okolie of Denton Police Station, were said to have been assaulted by Adetona after they arrested a nine-year-old child who was selling a local doughnut, popularly called puf-puf on the road.

Unbelievable: Disabled, one other arraigned for robbery



Twenty-eight-year-old, physically challenged man, Yahya Dogo and one Moses Kikame (26-yr) were yesterday arraigned before a Lagos High Court for allegedly stealing jewellery valued at N100, 000.
The duo who were charged before Justice Christopher Balogun are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and armed robbery. State counsel, Mr W.A Quadri told the court that the defendants have no particular means of livelihood.
Information on the charge sheet revealed that Kikame and Dogo committed the offence on June 3, 2011 at Lester Pharmacy, Ado-Odo, Ajah, Lagos at 8.00 p.m.
Kikame and Dogo attacked one Mr Lucky Amadiuche while armed with a gun and disposed him of his gold chain valued at N100, 000. They however, pleaded not guilty when the charge was read to them.
