Man organizes buddies from Delta state to rob his uncle in Lagos

24-year-old Emmanuel Erherhie, a person in a 6-man robbery gang that has been recently apprehended by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja in Lagos has confessed to arranging together with his friends to carry out a robbery attack on his uncle who lives in Festac Town, Lagos. 

Emmanuel, who had been paraded alongside his other gang members, Joseph Ovologbarho, Innocent Ibe, Victor Ezenwa, Oyoma Akbojiyouwi and James Ukerume, said he arranged for his Uncle to be robbed at his festac home after his uncle kicked him out of his house when he returned from Prison for damaging someone's car.

DSS to quiz Alimodu Sheriff over Boko Haram sponsorship allegation

The Department of State Security, DSS, says it will be inviting former Borno state governor, Alimodu Sheriff, for questioning following recent allegations leveled against him by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, who said he's a Boko Haram sponsor.

Speaking at a news conference today in Abuja, spokesperson for DSS, Marilyn Ogar, said the former governor had in the past been invited to the DSS office for questioning over Boko Haram activities and they will be inviting him again. Ogar also dismissed insinuations that former Army chief, Lt. Gen Azubuike Ihejirika is a Boko Haram sponsor, describing it as untrue, uncharitable & wicked. Find the statement after the jump...
