The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed sadness over the clashes in Zaria, Kaduna State, which claimed some lives, including the son of a renowned Islamic scholar, Sheik Ibrahim El-Zakzaky.

The President of CAN, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, said in a statement on Monday in Abuja that the association was particularly saddened by the aftermath of the incident.
Oritsejafor urged the people of area to remain law-abiding and allow the relevant authorities to take charge of the situation.

In the wake of the 1st Tunde Fashola has taken drastic steps to ensure the virus is contained and flushed out of the state immediately.  In a statement released yesterday, the Governor officially banned handshakes, hugs and all forms of bodily contact that could ensure the spread of the virus.

In his statement he said: “We are all aware now of the presence of the deadly Ebola Virus in or midst, and how it is spread. It is my moral obligation as Governor of this great state to ensure it’s spread is brought to an immediate halt.

Four persons have been detained by the Delta State Police Command officers on suspicion of cultism, kidnapping and criminal conspiracy.


Four suspects have been accused of selling a three-year-old boy for N850,000 and attempting to kill his mother, Miss Favour Ifowe.
The perpetrators included Miss Favour Ifowe’s boyfriend, Prince Josiah, an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) serving in Abia State, a self acclaimed medical doctor and a woman alleged to be the buyer of the stolen child.

A river in China deemed clean enough to drink mysteriously turned red overnight, shocking residents and officials. 
Residents of the area claim the phenomenon has never happened before, and the colour change was not caused by an industrial contamination. The river is located in Xinmeizhou village, Cangnan County in eastern China’s Zhejiang province.

A local told the DailyExpress that, the water looked normal at 4 am, “but then suddenly, within the space of a few minutes, the water started turning darker and eventually was completely red.”

 A teenage who girl became a victim of a bullying, harassment and s3xual assault in 2011 reported the crime to police only in April this year, Adelaide High School, South Australia.

According to the girl’s mother, her daughter was taped to a tree and then tied up with a garden hose by another girl before being approached by the other male students. Despite the victim’s cries for help, eight boys pulled down their pants and rubbed their genitalia on her, while another girl was laughing and filming the act on a mobile cellphone.
