On We-ed-smoking: BRYMO BLASTS CHOCOLATE CITY

In a recent interview, former member of the Chocolate City crew opened up about his reasons for leaving the label and what his plans are.
Excerpts.
On why he left the label.

My debut album was not released properly. Songs were leaked even after they promised that they were safe. And then there was my single, which was poorly released. I think I deserve an explanation why the release was messed up. That already is a breach. You took my song, edited it and released it behind my back; very unfair. It's something I don't want to talk about but there's news everywhere that I am smoking weed and people are saying I don't get shows because of that.
On weed-smoking.....

Ice Prince accused Brymo of lying, calls him an Ingrate...

Few weeks ago, Brymo, who used to be an artiste underChocolate City, reportedly granted an interview where he alleged his former label of breaching the contract he signed with them. Brymo’s bombshell came just days after Choc City, as the label is also called, claimed that all is well between them and the artiste.

Someone that may have felt unhappy with the confession of Brymo is Ice Prince, who is an artiste with the same label. Recall that Brymo played a pivotal party in that Ice Prince’s hit single, ‘Oleku’, which brought Ice Prince into limelight just few years ago.

Brymo Reveals Why He Left Choc City

Earlier this year, Chocolate City lost two of its very talented artistes, Jesse Jagz and Brymo.
And, while Jesse Jagz lets us know earlier that his reason for leaving was to set up for a solo career; we have been left with a sort of  void as to what complications led to Brymo‘s departure soon after him. During a recent press conference, the ‘son of a kapenta’ explains his reason for leaving the record label.
He goes on to say that he had to ‘dump’ the contract because ‘he knows the Nigerian law system cannot save him’. In his words, ''Since I left Chocolate City, I've been working on my personal stuff and seeing if I can take myself farther from where they stopped.''

Just In: Brymo Has Left Chocolate City --- Only 2 Main Acts Left, Ice Prince And M.I

Brymo has decided to quit with his record Label, Chocolate City. This latest development occurs barely two months after former label mate Jesse Jagz walked away from the company.
HipHopWorld has it on reliable information that the “Ara” singer officially parted ways with ‘Choc City’ over the weekend; but both parties have managed to keep a lid on the issue until now.
Brymo has been rumored to be not-so-friendly with some members of the Choc family; and apart from the business side of things, it doesn’t seem like ‘The Son of a Kapenta’ will be sorely missed by his remaining label-mates.
Chocolate City now only has M.I and Ice Prince left as its established acts.

Story of Brymo

A popular myth has it that the destiny of a child is determined at birth and will one day come to pass, no matter how long it takes. If this is a truism, then Chocolate City artiste, Brymo, was destined for limelight.
Out of the blue, his break-out single, Ara, tore the charts within a week of its release, earning the 26-year-old singer some 10 nominations and awards. These include Headies’ Recording of the Year Award and 2012 Channel O’s Most Gifted Afro Pop Video of the Year.
