Nigerian married to British takes overdose over fear of deportation •Hospitalised, in coma, may be deported today




A Nigerian asylum seeker in the United Kingdom, Mrs May Brown, who is married to a British man is fighting for her life in hospital after an overdose, even as she has been booked for deportation to Nigeria.
Mrs Brown, according to information, is due for deportation today after British authorities said her marriage to her husband, Michael Brown, was a sham.
Before she took the overdose, May reportedly said she feared her abusers would kill her if she returned to Nigeria because she witnessed her father’s death.
“If they send me back to Nigeria they are signing my death warrant, they will cut my life short because I will be killed,” she said.
According to information gathered on Mail Online on Wednesday, the lady, May Brown, a 19 year-old college student, fled to Britain from Nigeria, three years ago after witnessing her father’s murder and being subjected to sexual abuse.

Singer Atorise back in Nigeria after being shot & hospitalised in SA



Gospel singer Lanre Teriba, popularly known as Atorise was shot by armed robbers in South Africa on February 15 while there for a concert. He was attacked immediately after the show by unknown gunmen who robbed him and shot him in the leg. He was taken to Steve Biko Hospital in Pretoria South Africa where he had a successful surgery and was discharged recently. He returned to Nigeria today (seen above at the airport this afternoon)

Queen Elizabeth Hospitalised!




Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, suffering from gastroenteritis, was admitted to hospital on Sunday, a Buckingham Palace spokesman told AFP.
All the 86-year-old’s engagements for this week, including a visit to Rome, have been called off, the spokesman added.
“The Queen is being assessed at King Edward VII’s Hospital in London after experiencing symptoms of gastroenteritis. As a precaution, all official engagements this week will be either postponed or cancelled,” he said.
Britain’s head of state is known for her robust health and devotion to duty, and rarely misses engagements.
