298 people died yesterday July 17th when Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 was blasted out of the sky at 32,000.

It is still unknown who blasted  the airplane, Obama suggested it was fired by a land to air missile.

The Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 carrying almost 300 people on board crashed on Thursday as it was flying over Ukraine’s Donetsk Region. The plane was apparently shot down by a surface-to-air missile(as suggested by Obama), although both Kiev and the local militias fighting against it deny responsibility.

Angry passengers block Abuja airport runway

Angry passengers on Thursday evening blocked the runway of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, preventing planes from taking-off or landing.

Findings by our correspondent revealed that the blockade was caused by passengers who disembarked from an Arik Air flight that was meant to take them to the Margaret Ekpo Airport, Calabar from Abuja.

Bags torn apart, Padlocks destroyed: Passengers allege stealing of luggage at Lagos airport

The syndicated pilferage at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, is becoming worse as passengers now complain of missing luggage on arrival at the airport.

Blame over loss of baggage has been put at the doorsteps of the Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc and the Skypower Aviation Handling Company Limited, whose workers were alleged to be culpable.

Efforts to get reaction of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) failed as at press time.

The stealing is fast taking the joy out of travel as many passengers last week complained of luggage loss. The situation could also be put at the doorsteps of FAAN, which primary duty is to ensure security at the airports.
