Oristsejafor shows why Pastors are richer than their customers

President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor recently bared his mind concerning the controversies surrounding churches and their flamboyant pastors.

On why there are so many poor people in churches yet rich pastors, Oritsejafor who recently completed an ultra modern 40,000 capacity church auditorium in Warri, Delta State, said

“Remember that the pastors are pasturing both the poor and the rich. They are all in the same assembly. Both the poor and the rich, those who have the means in the church take time to be kind to their pastors. That is something most people don’t realize.

Check out Photos of two of Nigeria's richest pastors back in the day, when there was nothing.

One is the richest & arguably probably the most powerful pastor in Nigeria, with investment running into billions of naira, while the other is in the set of the 5 most  richest pastors in Nigeria with investments in media and publishing. This is surely an easy guess..

See list of Nollywood Stars Turned Pastors

Although, many have criticised their decisions to embrace Christ, blaming such decisions principally on the turn of events in their lives, it is not out of place today to come across celebrities who have become preachers of the Word.

From Eucheria Anunobi to Zack Orji, Ndidi Obi, Pat Attah, Ernest Azuzu and many others, it has been a steady influx of fire-brand celebrity Pastors into the Vineyard of God. But the question on the lips of everyone is whether these celebrities have found true happiness after all, and if they do, how much has the pulpit paid off, in place of dumping their flourishing careers in acting for the work of God. Like the Biblical saying, “When we come to the Word of God and we pray over His Word, when His Word shines on us, we are exposed and emptied of any other thing.”

These days, millions of souls, desperate for financial breakthroughs, miracles and healing, all rush to the church for redemption. God is good, especially if you’re a Nigerian pastor with some business savvy. And while the bible expressly states that salvation is free, at times it comes with a cost: offerings, tithes, gifts to spiritual leaders, and a directive to buy literature and other products created by men of God.

Should Pastors Re-Marry After Divorce? See What Pastor Igbodalo Who Remarried Said

It was a very big issue some years back after Pastor Ituah Ighodalo separated from his first wife and wanted to get married to a beautiful lady. Olufamous.com observed that it was the same issue that made him to leave the Redeemed Christian Church of God, as the church couldn't allow such act.

But is it right or wrong for a man, especially a pastor, to do this? See his position below...
Your wife is stunning. How many years have you been married now?
I got married 2007, so, it is barely six years.

How has married life been to you?
We thank God. It’s been very nice. Very wonderful. I have a very understanding wife. I believe she loves me very much. She’s simple. She’s easy to get along with, and we are very good friends. So, I’m quite happy to be honest.

Jail Is too good for Nigerian Pastors ( Fire Better?)

Recently, the Daily Mail, UK, had a feature on Bishop David Oyedepo. He was accused (alongside his son who ‘manages’ the UK branch) of fleecing worshippers by making “spurious claims” and “cynical exploitation of the gullible”.

The undercover journalist who visited the British church and the British MP who condemned him acted ignorant of the antithesis of faith and logicality when they expressed surprise about how people were urged to give more money in return for blessings that were neither guaranteed nor cognisant of the realities on ground.
