A 50-year-old Philadelphia woman named Sharolyn Jackson died, was laid to rest by her family and then resulted in quite definitely alive just 13 days after her funeral. Jackson was declared dead by a medical examiner on August 3rd after that which was believed to be her body was discovered on the street. Yesterday, Friday 11th October 2013 was the International Day of the Girl Child round the world. The Nollywood actress turned activist, Stella Damasus released a psychological video for #ChildNotBride. Her words in the video are touching but many people claimed she was acting. She says:

“My heart still bleeds for the millions of girls throughout the world who still do not have a voice to speak. They're still given away in marriage even at age 9, no education, no social relevance, no promising future. I actually do pray that you will lend your voice and save a child today.”

“My husband is a pathological liar, it was ten years after our marriage that I knew the woman he called his cousin and her children were his wife and children. My husband lied that he was going to Abuja for a training programme. A little boy thought he was just collecting innocent looking eggs he found while playing outside, but they turned out to be extremely dangerous, according to press reports.  An Australian boy, who is 3-years-old, was lucky to escape unharmed after his egg collection turned into a tangle of deadly slithering snakes.  Reptile specialist Trish Prendergast said Friday that young wildlife enthusiast Kyle Cummings, could have died if he had handled one of the eastern brown snakes, the world's most poisonous species on earth after the Australian Taipan.  Kyle found nine eggs on the grass on the 3 acres of family property on the outskirts of the city of Townsville in Queensland state, Prendergast said. He had no idea what kind of eggs they were.

ABUJA—NATIONAL leadership of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, said Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, begged to be a member of the party severally, but his request was turned down, just as it urged him to tell Nigerians how many times he begged.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement,  said  the Edo State governor, in 2007, contacted the PDP for its gubernatorial ticket to run as governor of the state, but the request was rejected on the ground that if adhered to, the party’s zoning arrangement would be distorted.
