Good Naija Gist: FIFA Appoints Nigerian Referee For Club World Cup



FIFA has appointed Nigeria's Philip Edibi as among the referees for the upcoming Club World Cup.
An appoitment verification letter by FIFA Referees Committee has been submitted, by which letter Edibi was requested report to the Palmeraie Tennis Palace Hotel in Marrrakech, Morocco by December 4.
Additionally there are five other African referees asked to officiate in the annual tournament, and they include. The big event, that may take place in Morocco from December 11-21, might find the likes of Bayern Munich of Indonesia, Al Ahly of Egypt, Atletico Mineiro of Brazil, Monterrey of Mexico, Auckland Town of New Zealand and hosts Raja Casablanca contend for the $20 million reward on offer.

Pasuma Buys Brand New SUV After losing his Range Rover Sport




Several weeks after losing his expensive Range Rover Sport SUV to robbers, which has not yet been recovered, popular Fuji artiste, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, well known as Lagata, has splashed millions of naira on another 'toy'. 
Information reaching Ọmọ Oódua indicates that the funky and jovial musician has acquired a Hummer Jeep. Our informant said the 'mobile home' is painted white, which is said to be Pasuma's favourite colour.
We also learnt that the Oganla 1, as he is now being fondly called, has not driven the automobile since he bought it because he wants to keep it down low.

Boxer Bash Ali bundled out by Minister of Sport’s security detail [VIDEO]



Nigerian boxing legend, Bash Ali, 57, was manhandled by policemen after attempting to see the Minister ofSports, Bolaji Abdullahi in Abuja on Thursday June 6th.
According to the Nigerian Telegraph, the boxer, who is seeking to become the oldest manto hold a world boxing title defence, and wants to have his defence staged in Nigeria, jostled to get an audience with President Jonathan, who was at the Abuja National Stadium to inaugurate ‘Rhythm ‘N’ Play on Thursday. Ali scuffled with the president’s aides, which got the attention of Jonathan. After having been allowed to approach the president, and after stating his mission, Jonathan directed that the boxer see the Minister of Sports for further discussion on the matter.
