The Kuti's and others attend Femi Segun's Burial.. (PHOTOS)



 Femi Segun, a polyglot, former diplomat, compere, television presenter and a church deacon, born in May 1958, who died on March 21, 2014 lact week after he'd an incident on his power bike has been buried.  He was buried at the Vaults and Garden, Ikoyi yesterday after a service of songs was held for him at House on the Rock Church, Lekki, presided by the church's general Overseer, Pastor Paul Adefarasin.

Photos: ₦7billion Festival Of Waste As First Lady Patience Mother Gets “State Burial” In Okrika



 A amount of N7billion (naira) of Nigeria's  tax payers funds was wasted on the burial of the foster mother of Nigeria's first lady, Patience Jonathan in her hometown of Okrika in Rivers State on the weekend.
the events which kicked off on Thursday saw the attendance of the President , Vice President, several state governors and ministers. Saharareporters sources said funds for the burial were taken from several ministries such as the FCT, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, the ministry of Education, Delta State, Bayelsa state  and the ministry of defence. Ironically, the very first lady's mother died in a stretch of raod abandoned by the Jonathan's regime in the Niger Delta region.

Not just is late'Mama Sisi'obtaining a state burial, additionally there are finding that many Federal Govt ministries, state governments, and government agencies are tossing big sums of public funds into funding the burial. Chai: Hot tempered Guber Aspirant, Chris Ngige Slaps Catholic Priest At Burial



As the November 16, 2013 gubernatorial election draws nearer, the APC candidate, Senator Chris Ngige has embroiled himself in unwanted controversy following allegations that he slapped a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Ezekwona at a burial ceremony in Nanka, Agulu, Anambra State on Thursday.

Senator Ngige was said to have become  furious when he erroneously concluded that Rev. Fr. Ezekwona was deliberately standing in his way and suddenly snapped, pouncing on the hapless priest, strangling him first and then unleashing a torrent of slaps on both sides of the clergy man's face.

Weird: Kenyan Artiste Celebrates Her 30th Birthday With A Burial Grave Cake (Photos)



Wonder may never end 
Kenyan artiste Karen Lucas celebrated her 30th birthday yesterday, wearing a devil horn and cutting her black grave cake.  The black cake was decorated to assume a grave on a green grass, flowers on the gravesite, a shovel and brown sand beside it and also a cross boldly written- ’30’ ‘1983-2013’.

Nollywood Stars Snub Actor Bob Manuel Udokwu Mother's Burial



Nollywood actor Bob Manuel Udokwu laid his mother to rest on Friday, August 30, 2013 and some have expressed their disappointment at the absence of other nollywood stars at the event.
According to eyewitness, the family and members of the community from which the actor turned politicians hails expected to see some of the stars that usually grace their screens, only to be disappointed as Nollywood actors and reps were hardly represented at the burial.

Four Presidents, Archbishop of Canterbury for Achebe’s burial



Anambra State Government on Tuesday said four Heads of State and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Rev. Justin Welby, would be attending the burial of the literary icon, Prof. Chinua Achebe, at Ogidi.
The burial of Achebe, 82, who died in the United States on March 21, holds on Thursday.
Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, confirmed the coming of the foreign dignitaries on Tuesday while briefing reporters on Achebe’s burial arrangements.
Obaze said President John Mahama of Ghana would be joining President Goodluck Jonathan and two other heads of state, whose attendance has been secured but awaiting final confirmation at the burial.

Victims of Edo explosion for mass burial today



The mass burial announced by authorities of the University of Benin
Teaching Hospital for victims of last Friday’s multiple accident on the Benin-Ore Road, in Igbogui, Ovia South West Local Government Area of Edo State, will hold on Saturday (today).
Authorities of the hospital had arranged to bury the corpses of the
victims on Wednesday but could not, apparently due to their inability to secure enough space for about 60 corpses from the accident, that were deposited at its mortuary.
A source at the hospital said the victims would be buried at the Third Cemetery, located on Akugbe Street, off New Lagos Road, Benin.
