Chai: Tinubu lambastes Jonathan, says he Should Be A Leader In Nollywood

President Goodluck Jonathan commissioned his attack lion Doyin Okupe to attack APC leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, rather than address the issues he raised. As we had expected, Tinubu has fired back:

“The reaction of Goodluck Jonathan’s Presidential Cry Babies to Tinubu’s extensive comments on the proposed national conference was predictable. As usual, rather than deal with the salient and substantial issues surrounding the proposed National Conference raised by Former Governor Tinubu, the reaction from the presidency skirted around them.

Ijaw leader Chief Edwin Clark remarries at 86, to Dr Bisola Sodipo

Ijaw Leader and former Information Minister, Chief Edwin Clark remarried last week Sunday March 17th at the age of 86. Today is actually is 86th birthday. Happy birthday, sir! Back to the story. Chief Clark married well known medical doctor, Dr Abisola Sodipe Akindeko. The wedding ceremony took place at his home in Apapa and another one at the bride's home at Okupe Estate in Maryland. Dr Abisola Akindeko is the former best friend of Iyabo Obasanjo who lost two of her children in an assassination attempt on Iyabo Obasanjo's life. Dr Abisola's children were riding in Iyabo's car when it was attacked by hired assassins in 2003. The gunmen, thinking Iyabo was in the car, shot into the car killing the two children instantly. Iyabo and Dr Abisola had been riding in the doctors car, while the children rode in Iyabo's car. It was a huge story back then. Glad to know she's doing well now!

MUSLIM LEADER CALLS FOR EXTREMIST AMNESTY

The top spiritual leader for Muslims in Nigeria called Tuesday for the nation's president to grant a "total amnesty" for Islamic extremists now launching attacks in the country in order to halt the violence.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Mohammed Abubakar, made the comments as a small village in northeast Nigeria awoke Tuesday to eight people dead, killings that are suspected of being carried out by the radical Islamic extremist network Boko Haram. It is part of a series of guerrilla bombings and shootings that have plagued Nigeria's predominantly Muslim north for two years - which has now started to include mass kidnappings of foreigners in the region.

Rebranding Nigeria - The Congressman/Leader As an Albatross

Honourable Minister of Information and Communications, the erstwhile NAFDAC strongwoman, Prof. Dora Akunyili launched a project called the rebranding of Nigeria which in a nutshell, despite all the big grammar, basically had to do with changing the way we perceive ourselves and the way foreigners see us. Rebuilding our national image was a thing of pride and urgency in other to emphasize and highlight our good points instead of the bad ones. Good talk, if you ignore the fact that the Honourable Minister lost her phone at the occasion. Welcome to the real Nigeria.

At 52 years, Nigeria has really come to stay. Necessity condemns us to co-existence. The truth is that the geographical entity called Nigeria, never mind that we are yet to attain nationhood and never may, at this rate, has coalesced into one solid structure around and within which several very diverse tribes and world outlooks have tried to carve a niche and compete with each other for the resources available mainly in one geopolitical zone of the country. There has come to be some, well, if not understanding, then mere acknowledgment that we will all carry one international passport and use one currency.

SHOCKING!!! 12yr old boy executed by Sri Lankan army because his father was a rebel leader

An unbelievably sad story I read on Daily Mail today. See it below...
Disturbing new images have emerged of the dead body of the 12-year-old son of a Tamil leader that researchers say could prove he was executed by Sri Lankan government forces.
The photographs of Balachandran Prabhakaran, son of Velupillai Prabhakaran, head of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, were taken in May 2009 at the end of the government's conflict with the rebels.
The first pictures appear to show the child in the custody of Sri Lankan forces and he is seen sitting on a bench wrapped in a blanket and eating some food.
