Ogun NANS Kick Against Loan Request, Give Ogun State Govt 7 Days Ultimatum To Publish Debt Profile






The National Association of Nigerian Student (NANS), Ogun State section submitted a petition  regarding the state's initiatives to entice new loans. The student have required for a printed debt profile of the state.

On behalf of over 1 million physical, metaphysical and spiritual students of Ogun state, the Chairman of National Association of Nigerian Students (Ogun JCC), Comrade Falola A. Olasunkanmi said:
" We feel highly disturbed by the way and manner the state government is handling the finance of the state. This displeasure we have registered with the Speaker of the house of assembly on the recent request of the state governor to seek yet another 19billion naira loan while the state debt profile has continue to remain an occultic oath."
"The students will not stay back while our future and that of generation yet unborn is been put in captive. We will resist every attempt to turn the state finance and treasury to pocket money"

Hmmn!!! Bank detain female customer 3 days for default in payment of loan



A Petty trader, Mrs. Rose Abbey got what she didn’t bargain for when she was allegedly detained in a Micro Finance Bank at Ipaja area of Lagos, for failing to pay a weekly N2,000 earlier agreed on towards offsetting the N17,000 loan she borrowed from the bank.

It was alleged that she was abducted and beaten up before she was locked up in a room at the bank located at 170/ 172, Ipaja Road Baruwa on April 25.  She was, however, released three days later.  Before then, she was allegedly neither allowed to have access to members of her family nor given food.  The housewife who hails from Edo state later regained her freedom, after her friend paid the N2,000 to the bank.

Mary J. Blige and husband sued for $2.2 million over defaulting on bank loan





When the economy is bad, it is bad for everyone. Celebrities are not excluded. Now it’s Mary J. Blige and husband Kendu Isaacs turn in the hot seat. The couple has been hit with a lawsuit, as a result of defaulting on a bank loan of 2.2 million dollars. According to documents that Reuters obtained, Signature Bank is seeking to recover the amount of the loan plus $58,000 interest. The documents were filed in the New York State Supreme Court. The debt goes back to an advance that the Grammy Award winning singer and film actress took out in October of 2011. Blige failed to meet her deadline for payment of July 2012.
