Man missing for almost 3 decades found in bank chimney

A man missing for 27 years has finally been located, according to police reports. The remains of Joseph Schexnider, lost for 27 years, were finally discovered lodged in a brick chimney in the Abbeville National Bank in Louisiana.

The bones were found when the bank was making renovations on the second floor, which had been long used for storage, to make more office space. The identity of the body was confirmed through DNA.  "This was absolutely the first chimney recovery we've had," Mary Manhein, who is the head of FACES, the lab of Louisiana State University who identified Schexnider’s bones, told the press.  There were no dental records available so that the laboratory had to base results on DNA evidence after police obtained a reference sample from the Schexnider family, who lives in the area.  "I would say he died a few days maximum after he entered the chimney," Manhein said. “But as for the way he died, or why he was in the chimney, is up for speculation,” Manhein said. "No one will ever know," she added. Police found a pair of gloves in the chimney, but one can only speculate on its meaning.

Central Bank Of Nigeria Governor Sanusi And His S-éx Scandal

Once upon a time, news from my family in Nigeria centered on the dead or dying. Tired of all the negative news, I sent out a fatwa: give me news of deaths and risk instant death! My folks knew I didn’t mean literal death. They also knew the sharpness of my tongue. A family member once said (unfairly, I might add) that if I were goat meat, he would eat everything except my mouth!

I didn’t mind that ‘yabis’ because the avalanche of negative family news ceased... I remembered a family member recently and realised I hadn’t heard about her in ages. When I asked my mother, she said the woman had since passed away. “Why wasn’t I told?” I asked with mild indignation. My mother retorted: “I thought you didn’t want to hear news about death.” Touche! I can’t eat my cake and have it, can I?

Just In: Sanusi Freeze Bank Accounts Of Nigerian Churches

churches require EFCC approval before withdrawing even a kobo from their accounts with banks.
most churches have to cancel their crusades because the fund to organise it were trapped in banks.
one is confused at how pastors, especially in the South East, South West and South South have become sponsors and financial backers of Boko Haram from Sanusi’s directives.

Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor has frozen the bank accounts of most churches in Nigeria under what his office claimed to be seeking for sponsors of Boko Haram. Many churches have been stranded since the past two weeks due to their inability to withdraw money from most commercial banks due to a CBN directive that they must provide their list of shareholders and directors before they could access their funds. Sanusi is much aware that churches and Mosques in Nigeria do not have shareholders or directors.

American Bank Offers $1M To Anyone Able To Solve This Mathematical Equation

A Texas banker is upping the ante to $1 million for whoever solves a tricky problem that’s been dogging mathematicians since the 1980s.

The Providence, Rhode Island-based American Mathematical Society (AMS) on Tuesday said $1 million will be awarded for the publication of a solution to the Beal Conjecture number theory problem.

Dallas banker D. Andrew Beal first offered the Beal Prize in 1997 for $5,000. Over the years, the amount has grown.  AMS spokesman Michael Breen says a solution is more difficult than the one for a related problem – Fermat’s Last Theorem – which didn’t have a published solution for hundreds of years.

Man Uses Underwear To Hide Identity In Attempted Bank Robbery

Robbing a bank under the influence is dumb. Robbing a bank while under the influence and wearing underwear on your head to conceal your identity, now that’s pure entertainment.
Daniel Anfray decided to do just that last Friday, when he strolled into his local bank carrying a pocket knife and a pair of draws on his head demanding money. The 56 year-old French man, who had a little somethin’ somethin’ to drink beforehand, was quickly recognized by a teller who asked him to put away his knife before police arrived.
Anfray, who was recently released from prison after serving time for a drunk driving charge, was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.2, more than double the limit in most American states. He was sentenced to eight months in prison and two years probation for the failed robbery attempt.
