R&B singer, Mary J. Blige Banks A Whopping $500,000.00 To Perform In Nigeria By Etisalat



A couple of days after her performance that at Eko Hotel & Suites; i've received reports that American singer Mary J Blige got paid an unbelievable amount for only her one night visit.

Insiders are saying that telecommunications giant, Etisalat paid the R&B singer half a million dollars on her performance at the Sisters with soul concert.

The cheapest fee for entrance to the show was N15, 000 and the crowd moderation intended by the organisers was achieved. Although the favorite Expo Center, Eko Hotel and Suites still appeared empty, this was due to the oversize hall for the elitist show, featuring American Queen of ‘Hip-hop soul '; Mary J. Blige who stormed Lagos last Friday for the Etisalat's sponsored ‘Sisters with Soul'concert.

Banks Shut Down shop in Asaba over robbery scare



COMMERCIAL banks in Asaba, Delta State capital,  yesterday, closed look for few hours following strong  rumours in the town that armed gangs were threatening to storm the banks, just as courts have already been placed under close security watch following Monday's escape of two condemned robbers from the courtroom.

Although, the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Lucky Uyabeme dismissed the speculation of impending attack on banks, bank officials and customers were still gripped with fear, while plain-clothes armed security personnel were found lurking within and outside the lender premises.

Uyabeme told reporters: “Though police learnt that a number of the banks did not open because of the rumour, we affirm that it was baseless. We are on top of the situation.”
