Some Nigerian Musicians Are Taxi Drivers Abroad - Victor Essiet

Victor Essiet of Mandators’ fame is a very famous musician in Los Angeles, California where lots of Hollywood actors and actresses are resident.
He spoke on sundry issues relating to his career, most trying moment in life, latest music effort and how he perceives Marijuana, otherwise called ‘Ganja or Weed’ in local parlance.

How true is it that some Nigerian musicians are into Cab-driving here in United States?

Musically, it is very tough in America if an artist is not up to the task. Such moment that person would have no option.

Ex-Super Eagles star Chidi Odiah denies being a taxi driver in the US

Former Super Eagles defender, Chidi Odiah, 30, has released a statement denying recent reports that he now drives taxis in the US to survive after being let go by his Russian club, Cska Moscow. See his statement below...
My attention has being drawn to the slandering news going round the online media that I was spotted driving a Taxi somewhere in the United States of America.

I am taking this rebuttal path due to the hurt that story has caused my friends and family members. With due respect to taxi drivers who means of livelihood are through that means, I state, emphatically, that I am not a taxi driver neither am I in the United States of America . I am a professional footballer who loves my profession and yet to resign from playing football.

‘My parents don’t believe I am a taxi driver’

Chiwendu Nwankwo is studying Biochemistry at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, Anambra State. The 400-Level part-time student ekes out a living by driving a commercial cab on the campus.
Can you tell us about your educational background?
I grew up in Asaba, where I still reside. And I love to do activities men do. I attended Asaba Girls’ Grammar School. I was the captain of the school’s female football team. Now, I am a student of Continuing Education Programme (CEP), which is known as part-time programme in UNIZIK. I am also the General Secretary of my departmental association.
Driving for commercial purpose is considered a man’s job. Why did you develop interest in it?
