I was born the youngest of four children... At the age of 7, my parents got divorced from the result of child abuse and spouse abuse. Bout a month after being there, I started getting molested by an older boy that stayed there. I felt ashamed, so I never spoke up. After a couple of months, me and my sister were able to go home to our mom, my other two siblings were still in foster care. I thought that since I was out that the touching was over with...I was wrong.

SaharaReporters is reporting that our First Lady has been flown out to Germany on another emergency. They said medical sources in Abuja told them that the first Lady had to be flown out due to new health concerns.
There is no official word from the presidency regarding her trip and her principal media aide Ayo Osinlu told SaharaReporters by phone that he couldn’t tell of Mrs Jonathan's movements because he was not in Abuja at the moment.

When I read the story online this morning I called someone close to the actress to confirm and he said the story was 100% false, so I left it alone. Nkiru, according to the report, married the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Umar Sani, as second wife just a week after she was released by kidnappers. The report also claimed it was Mallam Sani that paid the N8million ransom money. Another false report.

Mallam Umar Sani has reacted to the report, calling it ridiculous and a figment of the writer’s imagination.

“The report is very funny. How can you marry somebody you have not seen for over three months? The last time I saw her was in September so how can a marriage take place when the subject matters have not seen each other? I have not married Nkiru Sylvanus and if a wedding of such took place, people should be able to name the place, date and time. It is not true”. He told reporters at the Presidential Villa in Abuja this evening..

Waje was spotted recently while on the set of a new movie. The award winning songbird has snagged a major role in an upcoming movie.  Directed by Stanley Ohikhuare, the movie also stars Femi Jacobs, Patrick Doyle, Nse Nile and others. The yet untitled movie tells the story of a young pastor and his wife who battle to save their daughter’s life and their troubled marriage.  Waje who has always professed her love for acting, enters the film after bit parts in stage plays most notably ‘Olorunbi’ in 2010. She is also adding finishing touches to her album which is due out in March.

How he got away with this for many years is beyond me. After more than a decade of denying doping claims, cyclist Lance Armstrong has admitted to Oprah that he used performance-enhancing drugs to help him win seven Tour de France titles. 

A person familiar with the situation told the Associated Press that Armstrong confessed to Oprah Winfrey during an interview taping, which is slated to air on Thursday on her network.  Armstrong was stripped of all seven Tour titles and banned for life last year by a U.S. Anti-Doping Agency after it was discovered that he used performance enhancement drugs to win.

He had a meeting last month with US Anti-Doping Agency officials, and they said they were willing to reduce his life ban if he would testify against the people who helped him dope.

I read with dismay a report involving one actress, Nkiru Sylvanus and myself. The story catalogued my supposed relationship with the actress and that I bought her a house in Abuja and chain of cars, and also instrumental to her being appointed as SSA Lagos Liaison officer, when it was evident that she was not from Imo State but Abia. 

While I hasten not to deny that Nkiru Sylvanus is my friend, I want to clearly state that I have never bought her a house and neither have I ever bought her a car. These, obviously, are the figments of the imagination of the reporter who chose to file his report without a by-line.

A middle aged mother is in police custody for charges of battering her daughter to death. The woman is said to have beaten her daughter because of taking photos to school without her permission. According to the area chief Patrick Lumumba, the 8 year old girl who was a nursery school pupil at Nyakweri Primary School had taken the photos to school and her mother realized that the photos were missing.  After she reported back home in the evening, her mother took a wooden plunk and beat her severely. However she escaped and returned a few minutes later and collapsed at the kitchen.  Neighbor’s who saw the incident occur stormed into the house and found the girl laying dead at the kitchen. They arrested the woman and handed her over to authorities in the area. 

The girl’s body was taken to a mortuary in the area.

Tawanda Gumede appeared at the Civil court where his former wife, Rufaro Lavendah Chinyama had arraigned him seeking a protection order against him. Rufaro complained that her former husband was in the habit of phoning her sisters demanding to have s*x with them.

A 23-year-old woman from Brooklyn, New York, has won the title of Miss America – beating out 13,000 other contestants including the pageant’s first autistic contestant and a woman with Tourettes.

Mallory Hagan won the beauty pageant on Saturday night after tap dancing to James Brown’s ‘Get Up Off of That Thing’ in Las Vegas and answering a question about whether armed guards belong in grade schools by saying the nation should not fight violence with violence.

Hagan defeated Miss South Carolina Ali Rogers, who took second, and Miss Oklahoma Alicia Clifton, who finished third.

I have been singing since I was seven. My teacher entered me for a singing contest in primary school and at that time, I did not know I could sing. I won the competition and at that point, I realised I could sing but at that age, I was not encouraged to take it up. My family relocated to London and when I was in college in Brighton, I won different talent hunt contests and variety shows. One thing led to the other and I started doing back-up vocals for different studious in London and I just took it up from there.
