Omo Oodua Onkawe: Should I arrest my blackmailers or pay them?

I'm a 54 year old woman who for the very first time within my adult life experienced an actual fight with a 21 year old girl. She slapped, kicked and even tore my blouse facing my pregnant daughter. I'm writing this letter with the consent of my daughter.

I'm a lecturer in a Christian university in the east and I head to Lagos every weekend to see my family. Been married for over 30yrs and I've a daughter. 

Ok, My daughter phoned me 1 day and said concerning this 21 year old girl  her father has rented a home  and have purchased a car for her. She also said she suspected they've a child together  because she checked this girl on Internet and she puts pictures of a child up....

Karrueche Thrashes Chris Brown on twitter After Arrest




Chris Brown's on-and-off again girlfriend Karrueche Tran trashed him on twitter today a couple of hours after it emerged that he'd been arrested for punching a man in D.C. Her reaction to the news headlines came as a surprise to some people because their split, which happened recently, hadn't been made public.

Chris and Karrueche had a receding about 1 week ago after she asked to move into Chris'LA pad. A source claims Chris flipped on the request and accused Karrueche of not being'grateful' for everything he already does for her, & for trying to push him too hard. Chris and Karrueche have since unfollowed one another on Twitter. hehe. Continue.

Police arrest hoax LUTH doctor - Pictured



In accordance with a written report by Vanguard the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday October 18th paraded a 40-year-old man, Adeyemi Stephen Akintolure (pictured above), a suspected fake medical doctor, who claimed to become a staff of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, with card No. 13541, identifying him as a surgeon and gynaecologist.
He said he's from Ondo State, studied Marketing at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, as a part-time student and graduated in 1997.The fake medical doctor was said to own fraudulently obtained N500,000 from Joy Umosekhaimhe of 2, Adesanya Close, Ifeko-Gbagada. Akintolure, who said he uses the wife's car as a mobile clinic, said the money in question was borrowed from Umosekhaimhe, adding “actually, it was not N500,000. It was N260,000 she lent me to make use of for my brother's ailment.”

Funny Naija Gist: Police Arrest Cow Over Murder (Photo)



The police at Sango Ota, Ogun State, southwest Nigeria, have arrested a cow following the killing of a 24-year old teenager identified as Azeez Salako at Ilata area of Ota, a suburb of Ogun State.
P.M.NEWS gathered that youths in Ilata Ota were planning to hold a carnival on Saturday 27 April, 2013 and there was an argument between some of the youths which led to a fight and one of the boys identified as Dayo broke a bottle which he used to stab Salako in the neck and he bled to death.
When the police arrived at the scene of the fracas everyone had fled leaving behind the cow bought for slaughter during the carnival and the police arrested the cow and took it to the station where it is currently being detained.

El-Rufai Faces Arrest, Prosecution Over Publication Of Classified Documents In New Book



Indications have emerged that former FCT Minister, Malam Nasir el-Rufai may be quizzed and likely face prosecution over alleged breaches of the Official Secrets Act following his massive reproduction of restricted and classified government documents in his memoir, “The Accidental Public Servant,” which was launched yesterday in Abuja and now on sale nationwide.
The book, which details El-Rufai’s nearly 10 years in government, is being studied by the appropriate government security agencies for proper legal action against the former minister in line with the law of the land.

King Sunny Ade reacts to his ex-guitarist drug arrest





King Sunny Ade's ex-guitarist, 62year old Fatoke Abiodun (left) was arrested on Tuesday January 1 2013 at MMIA with 1.575kg of cocaine as he attempted to leave Nigeria. Fatoke said he turned to drugs after he was unceremoniously retired in 2007 without severance pay after playing with KSA for 30 years. King Sunny Ade has finally reacted, saying his former guitarist was not a member of staff of his company but just a member of his band, who was not entitled to a severance pay. Police Arrest Nakéd ‘Samurai Sword’-Wielding Maniac




Reports say police in San Jose Calif arrested a man wielding a “Samurai”-type sword with no clothes on during a strange New Year’s Day standoff. Cops arrived at Ezie Street and Cas Drive in San Jose after witnesses called 911 to report a man standing in front of a home with an assault rifle just after 8 a.m. local time (11 a.m. ET).
