They both walked into the venue of the COSON Song Awards night together last Saturday in Lagos. Dressed in a sparkling suit and his usual gorgeous eyewear, all eyes were on Afro Juju maestro, Sir Shina Peters.

While the paparazzi and some fans besieged him on the red carpet, his company, a female, stood aside and kept smiling.

Dressed in a cream/gold Grecian dress, she looked unperturbed with the bevy of ladies on the red carpet taking pictures with the musician and those seeking his autographs.

None knew she was his wife until a journalist asked for her name. She simply said, ‘Mrs. Jummy Peters.’ After they were done, she walked hand in hand with him into the hall, still smiling.

Who Says Education is Not For Everyone:

78-year-old Mariana Ong’ango Ololo, a new pupil at Obambo Primary School, is not only the oldest pupil in her class, the grandmother is also the oldest pupil in the school. Ololo, who hails from Siaya county, reportedly showed up at the school unannounced on 14 May, in a school uniform with a shaved head and accompanied by her 56-year-old son George.

The school principal Joseph Muloand told the Daily Nation, “It is a unique case. We have to lay down a strategy of handling such an elderly pupil.” Ololo has already missed classes on several occasions due to her poor health.
