Ebola Scare: Private Hospitals Reject Patients With Fever Symptoms
Some private hospitals in Lagos yesterday Tuesday August 12th rejected treating patients who visited them with apparent symptoms of fever in measures being taking to avoid contracting the Ebola virus.
A visit by the News Agency of Nigeria for some hospitals in Lagos Metropolis revealed that nurses and other health workers, including cleaners were seen wearing breathing apparatus and gloves while attending to patients.

Last Saturday I went to visit her expecting to spend the night, on the way I got some food which I ate at hers. Shortly after my arrival she cooked, ate and fell asleep in the living room. While she was sleeping I cleared the plates, took them to the kitchen and put the rest of the food on the cooker in the fridge.
About an hour later when she woke up she walked into the kitchen to see I had not washed the plates. Irritated and annoyed she started complaining "You couldn't even wash the plates, ordinary plate you couldn't wash".

I've participated in 5 robbery operations but not made much from it - Suspect Narrates
A person in an armed robbery gang who gave his name as Afeez said he used the proceeds he got from armed robbery to send his daughter to school. Afeez and his partner Wasiu were apprehended recently by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja, Lagos at a checkpoint in Mushin while on the way to an operation.
Based on the police, the young men boarded a taxi at Oshodi around 11pm and were going to Mushin when they discovered a police checkpoint. Seeing law enforcement checkpoint ahead, they became jittery, commanding the cab man to prevent them and even tried forcing the doorway open. The taxi driver suspecting that they certainly were criminals drove quickly to law enforcement checkpoint where he immediately intimated law enforcement officers of his suspicions. A Local made gun was discovered on them.

RIP: Lecturer Gun Down Student For Hugging His Girlfriend At A Party
A senior lecturer in the department of Chemistry, College of Education, Agbor, Delta State has been arrested by security agents, for allegedly gunning down a male student for hugging his girl friend.
It was gathered that the lecturer fled from the scene after he shot the student at a close range during a party in a bar at Alihami Community.
Story has it that the lecturer was furious when the student walked into the party and gave the lady a hug.

Autopsy reveals Robin Williams hanged himself with a belt
According to the Marin County Deputy Coroner, Robins Williams was at home alone Monday when he tried slashing his left wrist, but it only left "acute superficial cuts. He then took a belt, tied it around his neck and secured it between the closet door and door frame. Williams was in a seated position, slightly suspended with his right shoulder against the door. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested two bankers for allegedly stealing the sum of N661,000,000 (six hundred and sixty one million Naira) from their employers.
The duo, Samuel Obende, a Branch Manager, and Rabiu Alhasan Dawaki, Head of Operations, both of the Bello Road Cash Center of Union Bank Plc in Kano, abused their positions to perfect the heist. Ekiti smokers face ₦250,000 fine, six-month jail
The signing ceremony took place during public presentation of the rules regulations on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Eniola Ajayi.
It was in collaboration with the New Initiative for Social Development and Campaign for Tobacco-free Kids.
She said, “The rules are designed to ensure full enforcement of the spirit and letters of the law.
“If the area designated for smoking is to be within an enclosed building or a partially enclosed place on any premises, only one such smoking area may be designated.”
