Richestlifestyle.com released their Richest African President list recently and they placed Nigeria's president at number 6 with a net-worth of $100million. And they know this how? 8 year old Nigerian boy bags 2nd in UK Child Genius competition



 8 year old Tudor Mendel-Idowu and his sister 11 year old Hazelle Mendel-Idowu (pictured bellow) were the only Nigerians to take part in the Child Genius of the Year 2014 in the UK.  The competitors consist 20 highly gifted youngsters between 7-12 who face two grueling rounds: Logic and Reasoning and Memory Recall - where they've only one hour to commit 104 randomly shuffled playing cards to memory. 

Hazel Mendel-Idowu was out from the competition in the 2nd round but Tudor Mendel-Idowu scaled to the ultimate stage on Sunday August 10th and made to the 2nd position. 11 year old Sharon from Bolton won the competition. Tudor Mendel-Idowu is the son of Pastor and Mrs Tolu Mendel-Idowu from Nigeria. Congrats to him...

 37-year-old Aevin Dugas in Louisiana has entered the Guinness World record with his Afro-hair, having a area of 132 cm.  She is a social staff from the National city of Napoleonville, Louise's staff is contained in the Guinness Guide of Documents because of its world's greatest normal afro hair. The area of her hair is 1.32 m

Girl Who Got Pregnant At 18, Bags the Best Graduating Student At 25



Seven years after an undesired pregnancy forced her to drop from the University of Ilorin, Aishat Farooq emerged the best graduating student of the Bells University of Technology, Ota, Ogun State.

In 2006, while she was in her third year, Aishat got pregnant for a fellow student. Although she wished to keep studying, she dropped out.

While Kanye West is canceling shows as a result of poor ticket sales, Rihanna is selling out concerts. Her Diamonds World Tour has been ranked No.1 in touring revenue...Rihanna ranks at No. 1 on Hot Tours with sales reported from her Diamonds world tour.

The Diamonds tour, meant for Rihanna's 2012 album Unapologetic, kicked off on March 8 in Buffalo, N.Y. and played U.S. and Canadian arenas through May 7, closing with a packed house at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Aliko Dangote bags Africa’s most powerful man - Forbes



The President, Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has been named the most powerful man in Africa and 64th in the world by the Forbes magazine.

Dangote, who Forbes says is by far Africa’s richest man with a net worth of $16.1bn as of March 2013, was ranked ahead of the likes of Fifa President, Sepp Blatter (69); Speaker, United States House of Representatives, John Boehner (66); and Founder, Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Mohammed Ibrahim (71).

17-Year-Old Warri Orphan bags ₦120m Shell University Scholarship



At nine years, Master Lucky Ayolu, from Ekeni in Southern Ijaw Local Government of Bayelsa State, lost his dad and mother. suddenly, life became cruel to him as he learnt to fend for himself. He notified our correspondent that he took to fishing to pay for his charges in primary and secondary schools, as his grandmother, who he resided with, did not have sufficient.
However, as somebody who is destined to succeed in life, Ayolu, now 17 years, has become a beneficiary of Shell Petroleum Development Company’s overseas scholarship.

Man Bags 12-Months Imprisonment Over Sham Marriage In UK.




A 29-years-old Nigerian man studying in the UK, Jayeola Abiola,  has been jailed for 12 months over a sham marriage. The Hull University masters student needed to marry to stay in the UK, and that led him into paying a Portuguese woman, Vania Pinheiro-Fernandes, to be his bride. 

Officers of the UK border agency had been tipped off by the Hull Registrar that the couple seemed to barely know each other when they were interviews at the rehearsal. On the wedding day, the UK border agency secretly filmed the cars, groom, bride and best man arriving outside the grand 19th century council town hall before arresting them.

Sanusi Bags ‘Africa Central Bank Governor Of The Year’ Award



Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has bagged the 2013 Africa Central Bank Governor of the Year award.
In a letter addressed to the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria by the African Banker Awards committee, Sanusi was slated to be conferred with the award at the African Banker Awards gala dinner held at the Taj Palace Marrakech, Morocco, yesterday (May 29, 2013).
The letter noted that Sanusi has also “ensured macroeconomic stability, protected the independence of the Central Bank and enhanced many aspects of the Nigerian Banking including adoption of new technologies for financial inclusion; continuous modernisation and more transparent disclosures.”
