Actor Osita Iheme speaks on his recently released motivational book
Comic act Osita Iheme popularly referred to as PawPaw recently published a 110-paged inspirational book with 101 quotes titled'Inspired 101 '. He spoke recently on why he published the book and what he intends to do with it..
"I read a lot of books, so I got inspired by some of these books and also some societal challenges that affected me personally. Inspired 101 is basically a compilation of inspirational/motivational quotes. It took me about two years to put this together. There are a lot of challenges we go through that requires words of inspiration to help people carry on. That was why I came up with Inspired 101 which I spiced and blended with some artistic visuals. I started it in 2012 and completed it 2014.

Killers of Venezuelan beauty queen Monica Spear jailed
A court in Venezuela has sentenced three men to lengthy jail sentences for the killing of Venezuelan beauty queen Monica Spear in January.
The three had pleaded guilty.
Spear, 29, and her British partner, Thomas Berry, were shot dead in January in front of their five-year-old daughter during a roadside robbery.
UN figures suggest that Venezuela has the second-highest peacetime murder rate in the world, but the brutality of the crime shocked the country.

Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan denies using his friend for ritual
In July, Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro, went missing while on holiday with Gyan and other friends. The musician was presumed to have drowned in a jet ski accident, but his body was never found which led to the allegations against the striker, with his family constantly being hounded by Ghanaian press. The football star (pictured left) and his family have denied having a hand in what happened but the accusations are refusing to go away because of the lack of a body.

Jungle Justic: Angry Mob Nearly Beats 2 Kidnappers to Death in Calabar (Graphic Pics)
The failed kidnap attempt which occurred between the hours of 3:30-4:30pm was over the Mary Slessor Avenue near the University main gate. Based on the'9ja Oni Baje'Foundation Int'l, the hoodlums who have been beaten to a pulp were intercepted by the angry mob when the lady raised an alarm for rescue.
"One of the thugs was beaten to just a few inches to death while the other one escaped the extremes of the outrage as he ran into the University of Calabar Main Gate's Security Post," the foundation said.
It however said, the attention of the Joint Military Task Force/Police in Calabar Municipal were immediately called upon by the University of Calabar Surveillance Unit, who immediately arrested the kidnappers. By then, the windscreen of kidnappers' white Audi car with Registration Number GEP-167-AAA (Cross River) were shattered to pieces by the mob. The shattered Audi was later on taken to the Police Division Office by some police officers.

Soldier detained for molesting, shaving pastor’s hair in Delta state
A soldier with 3 Battalion Effurun in Delta state, was yesterday September 22nd arrested by his command after he physically assaulted and shaved the hair of one Reverend Felix Omas, the General overseer and founder of Tower of Faith Ministries at Aleghor road checkpoint in Effurun, Delta state. Narrating his ordeal in the hands of the soldier, the elderly clergyman said;
“I was driving in my SUV, but due to the traffic situation, I boarded a tricycle. The soldiers stopped our tricycle as we were coming from Alegbor, forcibly seated me on the ground as one of them pulled a scissors and stroke three ugly cuts on my hair, saying my hair style violates their rules.”Continue..

The last 72 hours were probably the most intense in my life. The love, kind words and support I’ve received in that period from, mostly, total strangers have been overwhelming. I want to thank everybody who saw the good in what I did. Though, to be honest, I think it was a little stupid. What was I thinking putting my life and probably my career on the line in an attempt to change something so entrenched it seems unchangeable? But really I’m not fazed by the trash talk from those allergic to the truth.

How Child on Oxygen Almost Died after Power Cut at Enugu Teaching Hospital
“This is the disaster called Enugu state teaching hospital. There are children in the children emergency ward. Light just went off and there was no back up electricity, Worse still – one of the kids was on oxygen supply when the light went off.

May I say here that God owned the silver and the gold and he is the most holy God. If wealth and righteousness are not the best of friends there is no way God will be the wealthiest of all. From his fullness we all received we are also told that Jesus died so that through his poverty we will be made rich and I think there is no father who wishes his children poverty. If God is truly a father he will not wish his children poor and the wealth of every parent is reflective in their children.
