Prof. Pat Utomi Is Special Guest At BON Awards’ Talent Meets Class



As preparations for the 2013 edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards gather momentum, the organisershave announced that come October 15, Professor Pat Utomi would be the special guest of honour at the Talent Meets Class, a special pre-awards event holding at Oriental, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the executive producer, Seun Oloketuyi, “Talent Meets class is one of the highlights of the annual BON Awards because it provides us, Nollywood stakeholders, the rare opportunity of meeting with high-networth Nigerians, brand managers, top executives, and top celebrities for networking and unwinding purposes in a convivial atmosphere.”

Students took off their clóthes in class in a protest against a new strict dress code at a Hungary university. They were angered by the new strict rules introduced by the University of Kaposvar’s president.
Even a professor at the arts school took part to protest the code which bans dresses showing too much cleavage and míniskírts.

Higher Secondary School: Covenant University Student Ordered To Kneel In Front Of Class. - (Photo)



TThere is always a level when maturity must have being attained. A level where it’s no more about physical punishment… Rather, about coaching. Reverse is the case in most private university especially Covenant University where there have been reported cased of student being given corporal punishment. A 200 level student of a Covenant University was ordered to kneel down during a general lecture by a lecturer.Remember a photo also went viral last time some students were asked to kneel down in BOWEN University for missing church service.. Yeah, the bible said,spare the rod and spoil the child, notspare the rod and spoil the ADULT.

Imagine!!! Abuja Was Not Designed for Poor and Middle Class Citizens – Minister



The big housing and transport crises in Abuja is as a result of wrongful building process of Nigeria’s capital city, Minister of State Niger Delta Affairs, Darius dickson Ishaku, said in Abuja on September 12, 2013, Thursday.
The Minister attended at the


opening of Town Planners’ Day, where he said the city was envisioned without putting into consideration the poor and middle class of society.

Tony Elumelu Set To Turn Falomo Shopping Complex Into World Class Mall



 The construction of a world class mall to replace the iconic Falomo shopping complex on Awolowo road Ikoyi has begun. The redevelopment project is a private-public sector agreement between banker Tony Elumelu's Heirs Real Estate Limited, and the Lagos State Development Property Corporation. (LSDPC)
The first phase of the multi-billion redevelopment is the demolition of a considerable portion of the complex to be replaced by new structures. The new mall will boast of a shopping mall, an office complex and world class residential apartments.

Davido a.k.a Omo Baba Olowo Acquires N21m Mercedes-Benz G-Class



Singing sensation, Davido aka Omo Baba Olowo, who just got back to Lagos after his European tour, has acquired a Mercedes Benz G-Class, worth between $112,168 - $134,327.

Though he is yet to take delivery of it. He also got verified on Twitter today.

Pastor Olukoya of Mountain of Fire Gives N40m To First Class Graduates





In his usual style of rewarding academic excellence, the General Overseer of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Dr. Daniel Olukoya, has splashed N40 million on members of the church who graduated with first class honors degree from different universities across the country.

The event which is third in the series made the 77 graduates smile home with N 500,000 each.
The previous first class graduates went home with a car each, but this year the number rose from 15 to 77 so Dr. Olukoya settled for cash, which they could use to further their education or start something.
