Father's Death Forced Ronke Oshodi Oke To Return To Nigeria

For many months after her childbirth in the United States of America (USA), popular Yoruba actress, Ronke Ojo well known as Ronke Oshodi Oke, remained in the Barak Obama led country. It was almost being speculated by some mischief makers that she was stranded in America, which was why she couldn't return to Nigeria to let her husband to see his child.

British-Nigerian Femi Oke to host Al Jazeera's The Stream

International broadcaster Femi Oke has been revealed as the new host of Al Jazeera English’s hit social media show The Stream.

The former BBC, Sky and CNN journalist will take over presenting duties from Monday 6^th May. Femi has been based in the US since 1999 and spent nine years anchoring and reporting for CNN in Atlanta. She was host for the programme Inside Africa, which she also helped launch. For the last five years she has been a senior editor and host at the largest NPR affiliate in the US, WNYC.

NTA Female Journalist Akure Olubunmi Oke Kidnapped

A journalist with NTA Akure, Olubunmi Oke, (pictured above) was kidnapped yesterday Thursday March 21 by four unknown persons at her Oba-Ile residence Akure, Ondo state. Bunmi was surrounded and whisked away by the gunmen as she drove into her residence after closing from work around 5pm yesterday. Her whereabouts is unknown as her abductors are yet to contact her family.

days ago in the US.
