Three kidnapped corps members rescued By Nigerian Police



THE three corps members that were kidnapped a week ago have been rescued by a team of policemen in Abua/Odual Local Government of Rivers State.
 
The corps members, Ogochi Martins (male), Chijioke Richard (male) and Esther Nwachukwu (female) were abducted from the corps members’ lodge in Ogonokom on Saturday, June 29, 2013.
Surprisingly, the kidnap victims were rescued within the same community they were abducted by the hoodlums.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mrs. Angela Agabe, who spoke on the rescue of the corps members, said one suspected kidnapper was arrested during the rescue operation.

My Story: How I was kidnapped, rap-èd for rejecting love advances – UNILAG student



Policemen attached to Adeniji Adele division have arrested a 22-year-old man who alleged kidnapped and rap-èd a student of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, Akoka, for turning down his advances. The suspect, Babajide Bashorun, was also alleged to have taken nu-dè shots of his victim (names withheld) and pasted them on the internet with her real name, school, department and age.
 
But the suspect in an interview with Vanguard claimed that the lady was his girlfriend. He admitted to have taken her nu-dè pictures and gave them to his friends whose identities he gave as Aje Mayowa and Babajide Ademuyiwa, both final year students of  Architecture also of UNILAG.

Former petroleum minister, Alhaji Shettima Ali Monguno, kidnapped



Elder statesman and former Petroleum Minister, Alhaji Shettima Ali Monguno has been kidnapped. The 87 year old politician was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Maiduguri, Borno State this afternoon as he made his way home after leaving a local mosque where he went for prayers.

NTA Female Journalist Akure Olubunmi Oke Kidnapped




A journalist with NTA Akure, Olubunmi Oke, (pictured above) was kidnapped yesterday Thursday March 21 by four unknown persons at her Oba-Ile residence Akure, Ondo state. Bunmi was surrounded and whisked away by the gunmen as she drove into her residence after closing from work around 5pm yesterday. Her whereabouts is unknown as her abductors are yet to contact her family.

Kidnapped in Aba, rescued in Owerri



Emmanuel Agbesi is the assembly pastor of the Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM), South East Province Two headquarters in Aba, Abia State. On Monday, February 18, 2013, he was abducted by three men in Aba. He was heading to his church on Ndusoro Street, off Ngwa Road in his Volkswagen Golf-car when the hoodlums stopped him at gun point. As he stopped, the kidnappers jumped into his car and ordered him to drive towards the Umangasi axis of the city. Having been warned he (pastor) should not do anything funny or his life would be wasted, he obeyed them and that began his ordeal.

Why I kidnapped my mother - Physically challenged barber



February 5, a 35-year-old physically challenged barber, Obehi Emienor, from a polygamous family in Ekpon community, Igueben Local Government Area of Edo State, kidnapped his mother, Mrs. Kate Emienor, demanding N20 million ransom to release her from his elder brother (not of the same father), who is abroad.

Obehi, based in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, tricked his mother to bring some foodstuff for him from the village and waited for her at Agbor, from where he took her to his rented apartment at Ogbe Isheagu quarters. He held her hostage for 10 days, while meeting with his siblings in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, to discuss her kidnap and freedom.

Two 3 year olds kidnapped from their home in Ketu




The kidnapping of two toddlers -  Toheeb Adedokun and Falilu Tajudeen - has thrown Taike Street, Ketu Lagos into confusion.
The two boys have some things in common. They are three-years-old and live in the same compound at number 18.
Toheeb and Falilu, who are the youngest in the house were kidnapped on Friday, and since then, nothing had been heard of them.
PUNCH Metro learnt that the toddlers were playing in front of the compound when suddenly, no one saw them again.
