 Writer Amy Chau, who gained notoriety 2 years ago as 'Tiger Mum' after publishing her controversial book 'Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" where she claimed that Chinese mums make the best parents and ultimately have more successful children, is back in the news.
Chau and her husband, Jed Rubenfeld, just released a controversial (and some say racist) parenting guide called 'The Triple Package', where they declared there to be only eight successful and superior groups of people in the US.

Drama as Lizard Enters Femi Kuti’s Car, Says Evil People At Work - hehe

Over the weekend, popular Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti caused a scene that attracted a sizable crowd when he sought help to fish out a lizard that entered his car via the dashboard on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.  Femi Kuti narrated his ordeal jokingly at MUSON Center's pre-event news briefing. The Afrobeat King said he was horrified by the event.  He said a lizard appeared all of a sudden, from the dashboard of the automobile, while he was at top speed, starring at him snappily before ducking away.  In no time, the search party increased around the Black Prado Jeep. Perhaps then, it dawned on the musician, how seriously he had painted the scenario. The crowd, including his colleague, Yinka Davies begun to have amused, and Kuti, tried to create a joke of the situation.

"Pope Francis reached out to gays on Monday, saying he wouldn’t judge priests for their sexual orientation.... "If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge?" Francis asked.

A member of a gang of kidnappers arrested by Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Police Command, on Tuesday, said they used different tricks, including posing as beggars, to distract their potential victims to facilitate their kidnapping for ransom...

The kidnapper, Emeka Agbaji, was nabbed with Emmanuel Omoseni and Michael Edom after abducting two friends, Samsudeen Olatunde and Daramola Bisoye, along Lekki-Epe Expressway, in Ajah.

Emeka Agbaji, a 31-year-old man, said the first step in their modus operandi was to get their potential victim to relax. According to him, the element of surprise always worked in their favour.

Police charged a man with involuntary manslaughter after he accidentally killed his wife with electric nip-plé clamps.

He originally blamed a fault with her hair-dryer before changing his story once she passed away.

The police report in Craley, Pennsylvania read: "He said that they hook up clips to his wife's nip-plés and he plugs a cord into an electric strip and he shocks her.”

Tonto Dikeh May End Up In Jail For Smoking We-ed; She Cries That People dislike Her

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has reacted to the photos of Indian Hemp posted by Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, on the social media, boasting that "I smoke ganja". 

Disclosing that Tonto Dikeh may spend the next 15 years in prison for daring to smoke Igbo and expose it, the NDLEA spokesman, Mitchell Ofoyeju said:

“Our attention has been drawn to the post quite frankly and I can tell you that action will be taken on it. The law is clear and NDLEA has been very clear on the issue. No one is permitted to sell, use, cultivate or encourage the use of Indian hemp in Nigeria. The weed is one of the banned narcotics in the country."

To had on Friday posted photographs of a wrap of hemp and grains of the weed formed into the letters, ‘Happy birthday POKO.’

The naked acrobat who turned a San Francisco train station right into a three-ring circus pounced on passersby, gyrated on turnstiles and performed a series of gymnastics stunts to the horror of commuters. The bizarre behavior at the 16th Street Mission Station was caught on video May 10 and uploaded to YouTube this week. Video purportedly shows acrobat Yeiner Garizabalo, 24, manhandling a commuter as a transit worker tries to avoid him.
