Check out Dele Momodu's "Deep" Piece: This Earth, My Brother

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God…”
– 2 Timothy 3: 1-4 [King James Version]
Fellow Africans, please forgive my lamentations today. I have more than enough reasons to behave like the Biblical Jeremiah at this moment. These troubled times have compelled me to retreat into my spiritual past to seek probable reasons and possible answers to the current despair that has forbiddingly engulfed us all.

Reno Omokri responds to Guardian UK piece on Pres. Jonanthan

Reno Omokri is Special Assistant to President Jonathan on New Media and below is his response to Remi Adekoya's article in the UK Guardian
I just read Mr. Remi Adekoya's piece in the Guardian of the U.K. entitled ‘Goodluck Jonathan's report card for Nigeria? Must try harder’ in which he praised President Jonathan for a booming economy but came down hard on him for failing to help Nigeria's poor.
When Adekoya says "Infrastructure also remains a problem. Without a modern road network, doing business in Nigeria will remain prohibitively expensive and logistically challenging", he betrays a surface understanding of recent events in Nigeria.

Shocking! Read Femi Fani Kayode's piece on the Oskar Pistorius murder case

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode, shared his
thoughts on the Oskar Pistorius murder case. Oskar if you will all recall shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine's day. He has since been charged with premeditated murder even though he insists it was all an accident.
Well Femi Fani Kayode kinda blamed the dead girl on provoking the double amputee athlete into a murderous rage. He said in his piece that Reeva was sent to Oskar by the devil to destroy him He referred to her as a Jezebel, Delilah, 'creature from the sea'...
As a woman, I'm appalled by this write up, which he has since deleted from his Facebook page. He's kinda blaming her for getting herself killed. Read it after the Break...
