The man had come down with a fever while in neighbouring Burkina Faso and was taken to a hospital for treatment in that country but saw no improvement in his condition. His relatives then decided to transport him across the common border between Burkina Faso and Ghana’s Upper East region, for proper care. But he died on the way.

“I never contacted his fluids. I checked his vitals, helped him with his food (he was too weak)…..I basically touched where his hands touched and that's the only contact. Not directly with his fluids. At a stage, he yanked off his infusion and we had blood everywhere on his bed…..but the ward maids took care of that and changed his linens
with great precaution. Every patient is treated as high risk …..if it were airborne, by now wahala for dey. I still thank God.

US Ebola patient Dr. Kent Brantly releases statement.
Dr. Kent Brantly, US doctors who contracted the Ebola virus in Liberia, has spoken out for the first time. He released a statement from his isolation room at Emory University in Atlanta where he's being treated after he was flown out of Liberia last week. He's the first Ebola patient for experimental serum, ZMapp. Below may be the statement Brantly released to the media yesterday

The one who submitted the pic gave the name of the country and airline but because I haven't any way of confirming it, we shall leave that out. Musiliu Obanikoro Slams Fashola for Reversing LASU School Fees
A day after Lagos state Governor, Babatunde Fashola, ordered the immediate reversal of the state's university school fees as what it was 3 years back, 2011, Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro took to Twitter to slam the governor. Musiliu is questioning Governor Fashola's true motive for the reversal and says the university's students and their parents deserve an apology as well. Tweets continue after the break.

Ghanaian Imam offers ‘Solution’ To Ebola Virus
A Ghanaian Islamic cleric, Shamuna Ustaz Jibril, known in the Ghana for his predictions and interpretations, has linked the Ebola pandemic to the usage of carcasses. He called on medical practitioner to research the aftereffects of the usage of the carcasses of felines. On the basis of the cleric's opinion, he disputed the truth that the deadly virus is transmitted through handshake explaining that “it may be passed through coughing and blood transfusion and therefore not by handshakes.” Jibril agreed that the condition does not have any cure for the time being but you can find medicines that will inhibit its spread and added that as time passes he'd produce recommendations.

I don’t have soldiers as bodyguards –Saheed Balogun
Saheed Balogun is one of the popular Yoruba actors whose profession in the make-believe world has garnered some sort of recognition and fame.
But then again, Saheed at times, carries out his ‘drama’ in real life or how would anybody explain the actor being guarded by six soldiers at a recent event in Lagos?
Not just a few wondered aloud why the actor would need the protection of soldiers and this made a lot of people allege that a top politician that the actor is close to, got him the ‘bodyguards.’
