Amara Blessing Nwosu on why she married new husband, Francis Van-Lare

 Two days before author, public speaker and relationship consultant Amara Blessing Nwosu married US based Francis Van-Lare, the mother of four took to her Facebook page to explain why she chose him six years after leaving an arranged marriage that had a history of domestic abuse. Please read what she wrote below, you might learn a thing or two...

"We sometimes wish certain gifts came our way earlier. Sometimes I wish we had met each other some twenty years ago when I was sent into that hell on earth. But on a second thought, I know it wouldn't be as beautiful as it is now. God often take us through the bad to make us appreciate the good when it comes. Even my living for six years as a single mom of four, I met the good, the bad, and the ugly; some came with too much money believing that is what I needed; others came with their "fine boy' thinking Amara is after those things (I am not one of those women who thrive in vanity).

Do Live-in Relatives Ruin The Spark in a Marriage?

JC asked this question online. What do you think, guys?
In our African tradition, it's normal for relatives to move in with a couple: to assist with the house chores or to baby sit the kids or in most cases just to have a place to stay. However, when there are too many people in the house, it sometimes interferes with the couple's relationship, communication and se.x life may be affected as well (especially if the relatives are the wife's people *hehe*).
So, is it really helpful to a marriage for relatives to move in with a couple? Or should a new couple avoid it if they can?

The dilemma of Nigeria's younger generation

"Over the years, at least for the past 35?years, the value system inculcated by our so - called political leaders and religious leaders has totally truncated the future of our youths. The educational system was defiled and defaced in this period. Wanton corruption and worship of money and material things by our so - called leaders has been the order of the day, so why are we blaming and piling the rot of this decadent and deteriorated system on the youngsters.

The system has thrown up the failure of these youngsters, and not the youngsters being the cause of their own failure!! Nigeria has failed to properly invest in her youths. Youths have no investment in the system and the system has ruined them; therefore, the reason why they have floundered over the years; at least over the past 36 years.

Post of the Day: This is quite worrying!

 The lives and future of young Nigerians are being blighted, blunted and marginalised by all these old feckless cargoes!! 1985, IBB was the president of Nigeria and our teachers told us that Buhari was the former Head of state.

Our teacher also called us "the leaders of tomorrow" 27 years later, IBB and Buhari are still contesting for Presidency. Its either our teacher lied to us about being the leaders of tomorrow. Or tomorrow is yet to come. Who's fooling who? In 1983, Bamanga Tukur was the Governor of the defunct Gongola State (now Adamawa & Taraba) and 30 years later, he is today the Chairman of the ruling Party, The PDP;

Speaking at a press briefing with The Tablet at the Vatican yesterday, the Archbishop stressed that the Catholic Church in Nigeria is opposed to any discrimination of gay people.  According to him, after Nigeria adopted a law that hands out 14-year sentences to gay Nigerians earlier this year, he had announced the Church’s support for the legislation. However, there was a 'gross misinterpretation” of this by the media.

Like Seriously??? Why Was Ebola ‘Miracle’ Drug Only Administered to 2 White Americans?

One of the things that made Ebola so terrifying was that it appeared there was no cure for the devastating disease. But a secret serum developed by a San Diego-based company may be an Ebola miracle cure, as it apparently saved the lives of the two white Americans who contracted the disease in Liberia.

Amid the stunning media reports about the possible Ebola miracle drug, some observers are wondering why the drug was tried only when two white Americans contracted the disease, considering that Ebola has been wreaking havoc in West Africa for months. Ebola has been diagnosed in 1,600 people and killed more than 700 in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea. It has thus far killed about 60 percent of those infected.
