Ladies please beware!!! Irene Myangoh, a personal assistant working at a law firm in Nairobi went to an upmarket hair salon along Kenyatta Avenue, and spent significantly more than N5,500 on a human hair weave.

Fourteen days later she started struggling with severe headache that would not go away. She'd wake up with severe headache at night. She went to a private doctor who gave her drugs for the relief of mild to moderate pain of inflammatory origin with or without fever; they'd only work for a few hours and then the headache will be back worse than even before.

That strange world took position at a market in the Burundi Capital, Bujumbura, as officers grabbed cover cloths imported illegally. The ladies, who're all booth slots, spontaneously chose to blank all in protest. In Burundi, as in several nations in Africa, cover cloths or “pagnes” are an integral the main country's heritage. Nowadays, all the cloths are imported from the neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo wherever costs are lower there.

Yoruba, Hausa Traders Clash In Ibadan Market



At least five people were injured and property worth millions of naira was destroyed in the course of the conflict that escalated between Yoruba and Hausa traders at Bodija Market in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Friday, August 16, 2013.

According to the eyewitnesses, other traders fled the market, leaving their stores open, with food stuffs littering the entire market. At the entrance of the market, a commercial bicycle was set ablaze while the owner escaped with minor injuries. A truckload of food stuffs was also vandalised.

Ten killed as gunmen open fire in Adamawa church, market



A group of gunmen Sunday stormed a village in Adamawa on the border with Cameroon killing 10 residents in attacks on a church and a market, police said.

The gunmen opened fire on a market square in Njilang village in Adamawa state, killing six people before storming a local church in the same village where they killed four worshippers, Mohammed Ibrahim, the state police spokesman, told AFP.

“Unknown gunmen went into the village this morning and attacked a market square where they killed six people and then proceeded to a church where they shot dead four others,” Ibrahim said.
Nine people were wounded in the attacks in the small farming village, 230 kilometres (145 miles) from the state capital Yola, Ibrahim said.

Residents of Kachia LGA of Kaduna State thrown into a state of fear



Residents of Kachia LGA of Kaduna state were today thrown into a state of fear as an explosion from a refuse dump behind a market in the town caused pandemonium. Information Nigeria learnt that the loud explosion was heard from a refuse dump which had earlier on been set on fire. Reacting, Chairman of Kachia, Hon. Peter Agite said that no one was hurt but that the police were still trying to decipher the cause of the explosion.  Meanwhile Kaduna state Police PRO, Aminu Lawan stated that a team of policemen from the anti-bomb squad were already on ground, trying to identify the object that caused the explosion.

PDP Rice To Flood Market Soon



Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Elechi, has said the Peoples Democratic Party will soon flood Nigerian market with its own brand of rice.
Elechi spoke in Abuja on Wednesday when he paid a courtesy visit to the national leadership of the party, led by its chairman, Dr. Bamanga Tukur.
The governor informed the party of the three new high capacity rice mills his administration established in the three senatorial zones of the state and restated his determination to fully tap the agricultural endowments that abound in his state.
