Ebola Scare: Catholic Church suspends ‘sign of peace’, Anglican primate suspends handshake



  As the fear  of the spread of Ebola hits Nigeria, Catholic churches in Lagos have suspended the'sign of peace'where in which the congregation shake hands during mass. Though some Anglican churches have suspended handshakes during communion.

The Archbishop of Lagos Adewale Martins released a statement yesterday saying that whilst the handshakes have now been suspended, Catholic priests should continue the standard hand to mouth approach to given Holy Communion for the time being, but asked the priest to be sure their hands don't touch the tongues of the recipient. He also said Holy Water bowls usually placed at the entrance of churches must be discontinued to contain the spread of the virus.

A Christian minister, televangelist and faith healer T. B. Joshua on September 1, 2013, Sunday, revealed his stance on the possible strike on Syria.  The Prophet said that ‘If the world goes to war in Syria, it will not stop there. It will affect all its neighbours. There will be no peace in that region for years.’

T.B. Joshua Celebrates Ambassador of Peace



Prophet T.B Joshua was presented with a prestigious awad as an Ambassador of Peace from the Arewa Youth Forum, Northern Nigeria.
According to the Bello Abdulhamid, the National Director of Public Affairs, Arewa Youth Forum, Benue, Nigeria, the Prophet has always demonstrated love to all, irrespective of barriers of race, religion, creed or ethnicity.

Speaking on behalf of the northern states of Nigeria, he said that Kaduna, Yobe, Plateau, Kano and Jigawa States are all beneficiaries of the trailers of rice that Prophet T.B. Joshua sends.

''Yes, I’m in love'' – Balotelli reveals woman behind the new peace in his life



AC Milan and Italy striker, Mario Balotelli, has admitted that he is truly in love with Fanny Neguesha, his new Belgian girlfriend and said she is the “first woman I feel comfortable with”.
The 22-year-old, also stated that he still wants a DNA test, which will prove if the daughter of his ex, TV star/model Raffaella Fico is his.
“Yes, I am in love,” Balotelli, who has been in sensational form for club and country told Vanity Fair.
“In a short time she found herself in sync with me. I could spend my whole life with someone like this.”
On Pia, who Rafaella delivered four months ago, he said: “I’d like to meet her. I have no intention of running away, I’d be truly happy if she was my flesh and blood.
“However, I ask respect. There are complex legal issues to be faced.”
Balotelli and 22-year-old Fanny have been dating for six months.

It is amazing that our press claims to know so much about the late singer’s background. Her father’s successful banking career and clergy status, her late mum’s exemplary top management banking career and little Susan’s involvement in the church.

Nollywood actress, Biola Ige’s four-year journey in the Nigerian movie industry has been eventful. She’s been able to walk tall through her travails and today she’s one of the most sought after actresses in Nollywood. Biola recently suffered a growth of her thyroid gland. Her tongue, neck, complexion was affected, and it seemed as if her career was going to end on that sad note, but Biola made to India where the growth was successfully removed. And yes, Biola is living to fight another day.
