Drama As Two Women Claim To Be The Mother Of One Child

Two women caused a stir at the United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) in Zimbabwe when they sought a Deoxyribonucleic Acid (DNA) test following a dispute over a four-year-old child which they both claimed to be theirs.

A DNA test is done to ascertain a person's genetic material and identity. An official from the hospital who preferred anonymity said the two women, Ms Priscilla Phiri and Ms Siphilisiwe Sibanda, arrived at the hospital on Thursday at about 5pm accompanied by their relatives.

A cat travelled 200 miles to get back to his home town, claim his owners. Holly, a house cat who rarely ventured outside prior to her journey, had jumped out of her owners’ mobile home while on a trip to Daytona Beach. Jacob and Bonnie Richter were stunned when Holly turned up in the back garden of Barb Mazzola and her children two months later, The Daily Telegraph reports. Mazzola lives just one mile away from the Richters.

Holly was returned to her owners when Mazzola took the cat to a vet and discovered an identification microchip.Marc Bekoff, a University of Colorado professor who specialises in animal behaviour, said that Holly’s survival was a “complete mystery”, adding: “She may have had some basic sense of direction and then got clues from sights or sounds as she got closer, but the truth is that we have no idea how she got home.”

A 51-year-old father has been arrested for allegedly pointing an AK-47 rifle at his daughter for getting two B’s — instead of straight A’s, on her report card. This is no joke guys…

Huffington Post reports that Kirill Bartashevitch who resides in Minnesota swore at the girl for failing to get straight A’s, she told him she hated him, which led to him allegedly pointing the rifle at her.

‘A social worker said the girl had sent a text message to a friend of hers about the incident. The friend’s mother had seen the message and told the social worker about it’.

Fifteen-year-old Janet (not real name), one of the victims of the virginity test allegedly conducted on pupils of Ajuwon Senior High School, Ajuwon, Ifo Local Government Area, Ogun State, spoke with Punch correspondent, Temitayo Famutimi.  Excerpt below... What happened in your school on December 10, 2012? Rev. Olufunke Oladeojobi, our school principal (pictured inset), came to some Senior Secondary School One classes and announced that she would be conducting virginity test on us. Castle Rock, Colorado mom Kelli Murphy was sentenced to two life terms after being charged with the murders of her nine-year-old Liam and six-year-old Madigan, the Examiner reports.Kelli was reportedly involved in a nasty custody battle with her husband Eric and smothered the two children with pillows to prevent losing the case. The two were supposedly due for a court hearing the day of the murder.
