Vehicles Made-in-Nigeria to roll out next month – FG




Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Samuel Ortom has revealed the Federal Government's plans to roll out made-in-Nigeria vehicles into the market next month, June 2014. The Minister made this known when he received a delegation from Automobile Peugeot, France in his office in Abuja, Punch reports.

The minister, while addressing the delegation which included the company's Vice President, Mr. Yves Moulin, said the newly introduced auto policy is quite effective and is attracting automobile brands to establish assembly plants in Nigeria. Continue...

How Aviation Minister enforced aviation Agency to pay $1.6m on two armored vehicles for her

SaharaReporters has obtained documents further exposing the depth of corruption and mismanagement of public funds at Nigeria’s Ministry of Aviation headed by Stella Oduah. One of the documents details how Ms. Oduah compelled the cash-strapped Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to purchase two armored BMW cars for the minister. NCAA is the agency charged with ensuring the airworthiness of commercial planes flying within Nigeria’s airspace. Two officials of the agency told SaharaReporters that the NCAA did not have enough funds to upgrade equipment, send staff for critical training, and hire enough qualified staff. “Yet, all the minister is concerned about is to have two exotic BMW cars from the little money we have for operations,” one of the sources said.

‘Perhaps I'm not an Armed Robber, I have Only Resold 30 stolen Vehicles'– Suspect



The Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Lagos State Police Command has in its custody a man who claims he is no armed robber but only receiver of stolen vehicles.

The suspect, Kayode Haruna, who claims to be an Engineer and a graduate of the Yaba College of Technology, is reportedly guilty of purchasing not significantly less than 50 stolen automobiles from armed robbers at low prices and subsequently selling them to members of the public.

Kanye buys 2 'Armored Vehicles' To Protect His Family



According to reports, Kanye West just spent $1.2 million each for two high-performance armored vehicles to protect Kim K and their daughter, North. The Prombron Iron Diamonds by Dartz Motorz (pictured above) is said to prevent kidnapping, hijacking and 'other problems which can meet rich people on the street'  The super-SUV is even built to withstand attacks from landmines and rocket-propelled grenades.  'Kanye is fully aware that his new family is so high-profile they attract the attention of weirdos and psychopaths. He aims to leave nothing to chance...His priority is to get delivery of the vehicles, especially Kim's, before he begins his US tour in October,' a source told the Daily Star.
