Door frames, shelves and public transport don’t worry most people, but when you are the world’s tallest family, they’re a danger. Keisha and Wilco van Kleef-Bolton have a combined height of 13ft 5in. Seven foot of that is Wilco; his wife stretches the measuring tape to 6ft 5in. Not surprisingly, the children are following in Mum and Dad’s (pretty huge) footsteps. Lucas is 4ft 5in at the age of six — average for a ten- year-old.  Eva, four, is 3ft 7in, typical of a girl a year older. And at six weeks old, Baby Jonah is just two inches shy of 2ft long. The children are destined to lives of stooping through doorways and retrieving things from high shelves for old ladies in supermarkets.

President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, yesterday, urged Nigerian pilgrims to this year’s pilgrimage in the Holy City of Israel to pray fervently for the country.

Mark made these charges while addressing the pilgrims from St. Mulumba’s Catholic Chaplaincy, Apo, Abuja, ahead of their airlift to the Holy City. He warned the pilgrims that pilgrimage was not a tea party but a place for a total communion with God. Mark also urged them to remember the nation in prayers so that God would end the insecurity and other challenges facing the country.

An Indian man has spent nine months living in a tree because his wife refuses to say sorry for cheating on him.

The man, known only as Sanjay, walked in on his partner and a next-door neighbour in their Mumbai home. And when she refused to apologise he climbed a nearby guava tree and has been there ever since.  The 25-year-old has survived on a diet of fruit from the tree and food handed up by relatives.
"He eats and sleeps on the tree and even relieves himself from there," his sister told The Asian Age newspaper.  Police have said they can't intervene because he hasn't committed an offence.
