Veteran actress, Joke Silva has shared her most heart breaking experience. It was the day she met a 10 year-old prostitute while volunteering for her church, This Present House.

In an exclusive chat with The Entertainer, the mother of three recounted her ordeal thus: “Our church, This Present House, runs several shelters for drug addicts and people who have been trafficked within and outside Nigeria; you will be surprised what happens within Nigeria.

“We have 10 year old girls being sold into prostitution. One was actually younger than 10. She had been trafficked and was being molested. It was so heart rendering. We had to buy her from the whorehouse because the madam who ran the whorehouse insisted the girl was a client’s favourite. Can you imagine?”

Spain Raises Minimum Age For Marriage From 14 To 16

Spain has raised the minimum age for marriage to 16 from 14, which had been one of the lowest in the world, as part of a wider reform to improve health and safety for children and adolescents.

The reform, announced by Spanish Minister of Health, Social Services and Equality Ana Mato on Friday, also raises the age for consensual s*x from what was the lowest in Europe at 13. The new age will be decided by Parliament.

The Minister said that change was aimed at “improving the wellbeing and quality of life of youngsters”, reported Xinhua.

Until now, people as young as 14 years could marry with permission from a judge or their family.

A Saudi bride filed for divorce on her wedding night when her husband received a phone message informing him that he lost all his money in stock markets.

The message that he lost SR1 million (about N42m) meant that the man would be in deep debt and trouble.

The distraught groom shared the information with his wife who immediately said that it was over between them.

The man who couldn’t bear losing his money and his wife, collapsed and had to be taken to hospital for urgent treatment, Saudi daily Okaz reported.

Man busted on child- po-rn charges, had stash of up to 1 million videos

A Florida man got busted for allegedly amassing the largest collection of child p-orn in the state's history.

John Shearen had between 500,000 and 1 million full-length videos and images of kiddie pornography, as well as children's underwear, in his Leesburg apartment, police said.

"He is the No. 1 person that can distribute child po-rnography throughout the world," Special Agent Jeff Duncan said. "And he's been doing it."

Shearen was arrested Thursday, his 51st birthday, on 15 counts of possessing child p-orn and 15 counts of distributing it. More charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

The illicit material was stockpiled on "mass media storage devices" at his home in the Lakeside Pointe apartment complex, about 45 miles northwest of Orlando, authorities said.

Generator Sales In Nigeria To Increase To Clock $1 billion By 2020

Generator sales are expected to hit $1 billion by 2020 according to research analysts who cover the power sector.

 “Sustained growth is driven by increasing electricity consumption, which has been growing at eight percent per annum over recent years, and the inability of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) to supply adequate power to meet demand” said Aman Madhok, an Energy Analyst working with GBI research.

The firm published a research highlighting the expected growth in the importation of generator sets into Nigeria mainly from China and the United Kingdom. According to the report, the failure of the Nigerian Energy Sector has made the country the largest market for diesel and gas generator sets in Africa.

The girl, who reported the incident to the police at Akim Police Division which effected the arrest of Rowland, said she was returning from school, on Friday, 22 March, when she met Rowland who took her to his house and raped her all-night. The story took a twist when the suspect’s friends were quoted as alleging he was addicted to raping young girls.

Evelyn was a vegetable seller...On one of her numerous trips in search of her livelihood, she was manhandled and molested by five hoodlums in the presence of her friends. How did it happen? National Mirror explains below:

A five-man gang of robbers forcefully had canal knowledge of a vegetable seller simply identified as Evelyn. She was allegedly sexually assaulted in the presence of her two colleagues. Evelyn, a resident of Ojo area of Lagos State was at the back of a church along railways line, in Oyingbo area. It is the practice of those in that trade to pass the night at an open space in the area, while waiting for the trucks that convey the commodity from other states in the country. The purpose was to get the freshest of vegetables to sell the following day.

Evelyn, 28, who had reportedly been in the trade in the last five years, usually joins her colleague in the vigil waiting for the trucks.

The youngest son of Saddleback Valley Community Church pastor Rick Warren has committed suicide after a long battle with mental illness. Pastor Rick made the announcement Saturday at his church in Lake Forest, CA. He informed members of his congregation that his son Matthew took his own life Friday night. He was 27. The church also released a statement, saying, "Matthew was an incredibly kind, gentle and compassionate young man whose sweet spirit was encouragement and comfort to many. Unfortunately, he also suffered from mental illness resulting in deep depression and suicidal thoughts.”

Rick is famous on the evangelical circuit - he's the author of numerous Christian books, including "The Purpose of Driven Life," which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. He also founded Saddleback Church in 1980, the 8th largest church in the U.S. (TMZ)

The Mowe-Ibafo-Magboro-Warewa stretch of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State has for a long time been a nightmare to motorists and those living along the axis due to the operations of armed robbers and sundry criminals.

In January 2013, a family narrated how they were nearly hacked to death by armed robbers who waylaid their vehicle on the expressway.

The PUNCH also published a report in June 2012 about a retired Brigadier-General, Sylvester Iruh, who was stabbed to death by robbers suspected to be Fulani herdsmen at Warewa on the road.

Iruh had stopped to change a bad tyre and the bandits jumped him and the occupants of his vehicle. He lost his life due to the stab wounds he sustained in the hands of the bandits.

A mother of identical quadruplet boys wanted to help her six year old sons adjust in school as well as help their teacher and classmates to tell them apart. The quadruplets, whose names are Jiang Yunlong, Jiang Yunxiao, Jiang Yunhan and Jiang Yunlin from eldest to youngest, are so similar that it is very difficult to tell them apart.
The mother of quadruplet boys shaved numbers into her sons' hair by shaving their head leaving only a number on their head.

The mother, Tan Chaoyun, of Shenzen in China's Guangdong Province, took the drastic step before they started primary school because she was worried that the teacher will have a hard time identifying them and classmates will be confused.

"My kids are identical, they all look the same, even for me it is still hard to tell them apart, until they were 18 months I could only tell the difference between them by the different ankle tags we put on them. Now I recognize them by the different shape of their eyelids. Even their father cannot always tell the difference between them. Sometimes he mistakenly punishes the wrong child," Chaoyun said.

Taribo West has launched a scathing attack on Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo over his outburst against coach Stephen Keshi on Tuesday.

Yobo, who was excluded from the March 23 World Cup qualifying game against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Calabar, told  Lagos sports radio Brila FM that he was disappointed that Keshi did not consider it necessary to inform him about his decision to drop him from the game that ended 1-1.
