One French restaurant named “The Ananas Bar and Restaurant” in Sydney, installed two weird úrinals to attract attention. The úrinals were designed to look like a woman's moúth with red lips. 

The restaurant owner said: “The bright red-lipped úrinals shaped like an open mouth was a commonly used European design piece from female Dutch artist Meike Van Schijndel.”

While a lot of children celebrated their day on Monday, some were on the road trying to make ends meet. They were not in any position to celebrate, otherwise they would go hungry the next day.

One of them, Sunday Atoyebi, 17, who was hawking bread on Ogudu Road, in Lagos, said he had to make money for his family and as such had no time for any celebration.

“I took these loaves from a Good Samaritan. I must pay him his money in the evening after deducting my profit. I am not celebrating because I have to be on the road to make money. My usual profit in a day is N1, 200...”

Young Sunday, the first born in a family of four children, however, told Punch that there was danger in his job. He added that his friend was knocked down by a car on the Ojodu Road four days earlier while hawking bread.

A 24-year-old man has been charged with beating an Alaska man and his wife to death and s-èxually assaulting their 2-year-old great-granddaughter. Jerry Andrew Active was arrested Saturday night as he fled the east Anchorage homicide scene dressed only in boxer shorts and socks. He is charged with first and second-degree murder, s-èxual assault and burglary in the deaths of Touch Chea, 71, and his wife, Sorn Sreap, 73. Police said Sreap and the toddler were raped.

Police Sgt. Slawomir Markiewicz said Sunday that nothing has indicated the victims were connected to the suspect before they died. “It doesn’t appear that he knew them,” he said. “It looks like a totally random act.” Both Chea and Sreap suffered significant blunt force object injuries. Department spokeswoman Anita Shell said on-scene investigators were affected by the brutality and the ages of the victims.

“They said this was the worst thing they had ever seen in their lives, and these are seasoned detectives,” Shell said. The victims were part of an extended family that lived in a ground-floor, east Anchorage apartment with their granddaughter and her husband, who are the parents of the toddler and her 4-year-old brother. The younger couple’s 90-year-old great-grandmother also lives in the apartment and was at home during the incident.

Nick and Wendy Lowe were married at the Wellington Naturist Club on Saturday in a “clothing optional” wedding, reported local newspaper The Dominion Post. About half of the 120 guests were Unclád. Both clothed and Uncl-ád photos were taken, and though guests were asked to dress for dinner, the dancing portion of the event was clothing optional.

Were you born in the UK?

I was born in Lagos, Nigeria in April 1985 and left Nigeria at the age of six when my family returned to the UK – my parents had lived and studied in the UK previous to that. 

After completing my primary school education in London, I attended secondary school in North Wales, Penrhos College – where my mother and her sisters also were educated; and following my GCSEs I returned to London for sixth form when I studied and passed the Advanced Level examinations (A – levels) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Drama.

Tragedy was yet averted yesterday, Sunday May 26, 2013 when the building of a Lagos strí-p club, Ocean Bluecollapsed.

The club, located on 14, Opebi Street lost half of its two-storey-ed structure when it collapsed. Eye witnesses say the incident which happened at around 1:20pm startled the neighbours.

An eye witness who talked to our reporter said, "I was just on my way out when I suddenly noticed the building crumbling from the top. I really hope no one was injured or has died".

Another witness, Nasiru Ahmed, who runs a provision kiosk confirmed to NET that no one was injured."They are lucky that it happened in the afternoon, because if it was in the night when customers would have been around, it would have been very disastrous", Ahmed said.

Police in Malawi have arrested a 24 year old man after he tried to sell the freshly cut p-énis from a 45 year old.

Officers in the central Lakeshore District of Salima say they responded to a report of a man lying bleeding and unconscious next to railway tracks on Tuesday.

But when the man was admitted to hospital, doctors were shocked to discover his p-énis was missing, local media reported. Salima police chief Foster Mangani said hours later, police were called to a local motel where the owner reported a guest had tried to sell her a p-énis for US$360.

Bus Preacher Beaten To Coma In Lagos After Condoms Fall From Bible

A bus preacher was almost lynched on Saturday morning at Toyota Bus stop, in front of the popular Ladipo Spare parts market, when some condoms allegedly fell out of his bible as he preached the ‘Word of God’. A source gathered that the self acclaimed Man of God was dragged out of the commercial bus and beaten into a pulp before he was rescued by some policemen.

PDP Goes Spiritual To Remove ACN Governor

The Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, has described the recent prayer session organised by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to stop the second term bid of Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, as a mockery of religion.

ACN called on PDP to first of all seek God’s forgiveness for the eight years’ sins it committed against the electorate in Ogun State rather than embarking on spiritual warfare against Amosun.

An online statement signed by the state ACN Publicity Secretary, Sola Lawal, at the weekend, warned PDP to desist from such prayer, stressing that God does not honour such spiritual blackmail shrouded in falsehood.

The youths’ wing of the Engineer Bayo Dayo-led chapter of state chapter of PDP last Thursday launched a spiritual warfare to enable the party defeat Amosun in the 2015 election.
