I don't get any special benefits being an MFR- Chinedu Ikedieze (Aki)

Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze popularly called Aki who got conferred with the MFR title by President Jonathan in July 2010 says the national title doesn't have any visible benefits to him. Aki in a talk with Yes! magazine this week said there's no monetary value or special benefits to the title as obtained in western countries.

"The only joy in it is the recognition. When I am traveling and I get to the Airport, I get special preference and recognition. Apart from that, I don't get any other thing. I don't get paid, I don't get any special benefits as an MFR. As an MFR, I hold the same position with some of those who are Members of the British Empire (MBE) and they have some special benefits in the international community and honourary recognitions but those things are not here" he said.

Turmoil At Dangote Concrete Factory, Gboko, As Soldier Destroy One [PHOTOS]

Violence broke out today, Tuesday at Dangote Cement Factory in Gboko, Benue State. One of the worker was said to have stolen a spare tyre and was caught by the army. When his colleagues tried to get him off the hook, an angry soldier shot the young man and killed him instantly.

The incident has triggered a riot with shelling of gun fire. An eye witness said he saw two dead bodies and one seriously injured victim.

Rivers State has been given the hosting rights of the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards slated for the peaceful city of Port Harcourt on October 4. The executive producer of the Award, Seun Oloketuyi said ''We chose Port Harcourt because of a lot of reasons; Port Harcourt is one of the most beautiful cities in Africa, the State has produced some of the best brains in Nollywood and Gov Amaechi has also provided an enabling environment for tourism and Nollywood''.

Chris Brown was in court yesterday Monday March 17th to face a judge for violating his probation and by the end of his hearing, the judge denied him bail and ordered that he remains in jail until his next hearing...which is not until April 23rd.
