Continue After The Break"You have to see it to believe it. We're not going to be able to have long hair anymore. As a woman, this is something traumatic. It's happening downtown, at the beach or at the mall, where you find a lot of young women. The thieves grab them by the hair, pull out some scissors and cut their hair. Then they sell it at beauty or hair salons."

Abacha’s daughter under fire for attacking - Wole Soyinka
Gumsu, one of the daughters of the late maximum ruler, Gen. Sani Abacha, has taken to Twitter to snarl abuse at Nobel Laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka. She described the iconic writer as an “empty professor”, accusing him of assuming the role of a critic in the Nigerian polity because of financial gains.
Though the reason behind the Twitter rant could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report, her earlier message in a tweet had stated, “Do the thing you fear the most. If there’s one thing that will change your thoughts quicker than anything else, it’s facing your fears.”

I will never Stop Attacking Nigerian Websites – Pro-Gay Hacker
An Irish hacker, Paddyhack, who attacked Nigeria’s official website, www.nigeria.gov.ng, says he/she is suspending the crackdown.
Paddyhack had attacked the website last Thursday in protest against the Nigerian government’s anti-gay stance.
The hacker, says the decision is to commiserate with the Nigerian government over the killing of about 40 pupils of Government Secondary School, Mamudo, Yobe State on Saturday.
The hacker who defaced the portal before it came up shortly around mid-night last Thursday, had said in a Twitter post that “a torrent of fury will be unleashed on Nigeria’s government due to the unfair and unjust treatment of homosexuals in their country.”
The hacker had vowed that the defacement of the official web portal was a “first step in a long line of attacks aimed against Nigeria until they back down on their stance on arresting gays in their country for up to 14 years.”Continue
