First international flight lands in Enugu Airport

ENUGU- FOUR days to the official commencement of international flights at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, billionaire businessman, Chief Arthur Eze, Tuesday, flew into Enugu airport from Senegal.

The aircraft marked No 5MPZE, which landed at the modernised airport at about 3.20pm direct from Senegal, became the first international aircraft to touch down at the airport after it was upgraded.

President Goodluck Jonathan gave approval for the upgrading of the airport to an international status two years ago and laid the foundation for the construction of the international wing early this year.

Since hitting the headlines in 2008 for being the world’s first pregnant man Thomas Beatie has gone on to give birth to three children with his wife Nancy.  This year the couple’s ten year relationship broke down after Nancy, who had a hysterectomy before the couple married in 2003, started to drink heavily and Thomas was granted sole custody of their three children Austin, Jensen and Susan.

Today Thomas, who still has a womb but now also has a penis, has found love with day care worker Amber Nicholas. The couple want children and Thomas says if Amber struggles to conceive then he is happy to step in.

President Goodluck Jonathan and the First Lady, Patience Jonathan were received by the Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister, Le Yucheng on the arrival to Beijin International Airport China for State visit today, Tuesday July 9. President Jonathan is on a five-day state stop by at China to make economic deals which will be signed after high-level talks with the country.  The deals will include an Agreement on Defence Cooperation between Nigeria and China, an Agreement on Economic and Technical Cooperation; an Agreement on Finance for the Zungeru Power Plant and Airport Terminals; and an Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Diplomatic and Official Passports.

Against all expectations, the 32-year-old porn-star-turned-reality-TV-queen Kimberly opted for a natural birth rather than easier delivery alternatives. For the very first time, Kim – a woman of very easy virtues and Kris Jenner’s biggest cash cow – is applauded for choosing a difficult option.

Another big surprise is that she didn’t take over an entire floor of the Cedars-Sinai Hospital, in Beyonce Carter fashion, for her delivery.

This Tuesday, the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) presented the first exclusively Nigerian motorcycle, NASENI M1, in Nnewi, Anambra State.

The 80C engine motorcycle was designed and manufactured by the National Engineering Design and Development Institute (Nnewi), a subsidiary of NASENI.Speaking at the launching in Anambra State, the Executive Vice Chairman (EVC) of the agency, Dr.Mohammed Haruna, said the made-in-Nigeria motorcycle was proof of the potential capability of the agency to provide necessary engineering and technology infrastructure for Nigeria’s industrial development.

Czech Republic Woman Gives Birth To Country’s First Quintuplets

A 23-year-old woman has given birth to quintuplets in the Czech Republic, officials say, a first for the country.

Alexandra Kinova had four boys and a girl by caesarean section on Sunday, they say. The births took place "without any complications", according to doctors at Prague's Institute for the Care of Mother and Child. The mother and babies were placed in an intensive care unit but are believed to be in a good condition.
